I have never been to Phil's, but I have done business with the other two. The Tobacco Leaf has the edge on inventory, Hemingway's on price and general friendliness.

For the visitors: If you see a place at the south end of the Strip on the east side called Partagas Factory Store, don't waste your time. Prices are outrageous and selection is paltry.

I agree about the Partagas store, was there 2 weeks ago, bought a couple of their house brand cigars, not very good.

I usually pick up a couple at Don Pablo in the Gold Key Shops and Don Yeyo on Sahara just west of the strip. Decent smokes and decent prices, especially for that area.

Re: Shop in Las Vegas?

To all those that have been to Casa Fuente, how much would a typical cigar paired with a bourbon cost?

Also, how much would I have to spend to have a Hemingway or the dreaded Opus X (or do they not carry these)?

Have to go there. As everyone else already said though, it's crazy expensive.

Re: Shop in Las Vegas?

Casa Fuente is nice...love the servers outfits (wow!) and they make a mean mojito...try the casa fuente line just to say you did...it is a great smoke...full bodied. I usually hit the outlet mall in Primm...there is a smoke shop in the middle of the mall with nice stuff at "better than the strip" prices...they got me going on the sancho panza double maduros. Have a good trip...but bring a few of your own....when the mood is right for a smoke, usually the sticks available in the lounges or bars are priced heavy and not well looked after.

Re: Shop in Las Vegas?

Thanks for all the suggestions. I ended up bringing a few cigars with me, which lasted for the trip there and then on the last day I visited Pheasant Cigars (it's about a $10 cab ride away from the Stratosphere). Got a box of Partagas Black Magnifico, as well as a few other singles to bring back with me. Prices were good, especially when comparing hotel store prices, such as $20 for AF short story.

Re: Shop in Las Vegas?

Pheasant is a good place, and the owner is a friendly guy. I don't do much business with them because they are a good distance from my house. Pheasant is a private club and I would probably join if they were closer to me. Anybody can buy there, but generally you have to be a member (or a guest of one, which I was) to smoke there.

Pheasant is hands down the best shop in Vegas. Excellent service, probably the best B&M I've ever stepped foot in.
