Hello,
I'll be down in Las Vegas in May and was wondering if anybody could recommend any good cigar shops in the area? We won't have a car, so somewhere close to the main strip would be nice. Thanks, |

Re: Shop in Las Vegas?
I'm sure there is someone here more qualified than me but my first response is expensive!!!!
I have been there a few times and bought cigars and was amazed at the prices they want. Take your own, maybe buy what you can't find elsewhere, it's cheaper in the long run |

Re: Shop in Las Vegas?
I guess the other question I have is...will the prices be much higher than if one was to order from one of the online vendors?

![]() Casa Fuente is nice, though. Worth paying more for one stick just to be able to sit in the lounge with a nice drink and kick back. IMO

Re: Shop in Las Vegas?
Hmm...I think I'll have to see if I can get one of the online vendors to ship to our hotel. I'd like to bring back with me a box.
However, I will definately stop by the above mentioned place to check it out. |

Re: Shop in Las Vegas?
Casa Fuente and the Davidoff shops are fun for the novelty, but expensive as all freakin' Hell. When in Casa Fuente, smoke a Casa Fuente cigar - can't get 'em anywhere else. But be prepared to pay $25 or so for one.

Re: Shop in Las Vegas?
It is very expensive to do business on or near the Strip. Expect to pay maybe three times what you would normally pay if you buy from a Strip tobacco seller. Shame you don't have transportation. There are a lot of good cigar shops here that wouldn't take you to the cleaners.

Re: Shop in Las Vegas?
If you are going in May I think you have enough time to order whatever cigars you like thru an online source and have them shipped to your place before you leave for Vegas. I hardly ever buy cigars when I am on vacation because they are too expensive so I ALWAYS take mine because I know what I like.

Re: Shop in Las Vegas?
Like others said, CASA FUENTE!! Oh, and the Davidoff shops. I believe theres one between Luxor and Mandalay Bay, and one in the Venetien(Spelling). I'm sure theres more. But if you just look around, I'm sure you'll find something.
I know a lot of other people said that prices are really inflated out there, and its true. But where I come from, I do not have the access to premium cigars, So I eventually spent more than I should. Anyway, almost anything out there is increased in price...oh well, definately worth it to me though. |

Re: Shop in Las Vegas?
Thanks for the info guys!
I figured it'd be a bit pricey on the strip, but I guess I underestimated by how much the prices would be inflated. I ordered a cigar caddy today so that I may bring some of my cigars from home with me. The main reason I want to acquire a box (or two) while I'm down there is to bring it back with me to Canada (tax free). Stopping by Casa Fuente to sample their exclusive does sound like something I'd like to do though... |

Re: Shop in Las Vegas?
Davidoff shops are not that bad when compared to, say, California prices. But if you want to try some cigars out for the first time, they do have a nice selection.
