Great story. I began smoking at an earlier age as well- 15. Though, I wish my parents were as cool with it as yours were, until I was 17 my mother threw out any cigars she found. She seriously must have throw out over $1000 of cigars (I had a really good job while I was in high school, another story for another day).

My brother and I also smoked the odd cigar in High School, but we were no where near the OP. At that time LOTR was published, so we both started smoking tobacco pipes, cause that is what JRR Tolkein did!
Now that I am a lot older, I really apreciate the relaxation a fine cigar can bring. Its time away fromt the pressures of life!
