I've taken Singulair and Loratidine at the same time and for me Singulair didn't do squat. It was absolutely worthless. A lot of people I know that tried it said the same. Glad to hear it worked for you. But unfortunately it didn't do a single thing for me.

Also Rev, go to your CVS and pick up a Neti-Pot. I know the name sounds stupid, but its like a small plastic pitcher for pouring saline solution through your nose. I use one to wash out the pollen before I go to bed. It does seem to bring some relief--not a miracle worker, but I do think it helps. You'll find it in the sinus related aisle.
good luck.

Re: Spring Pollen Affecting My Quality of Life Sympathy Thread

I guess I have been lucky that the spring has not affected me as badly as some of you fellows. I do work outside for most of the day, and it has given me some sinus problems, but nothing I can complain about. Its not the pollen that gets me, but the snow mould and dust. I feel for you guys that are suffering to be sure!!

I've always thought it a quasi-science but always kept an open mind to it. I think next season I'm gonna try it just for the hell of it, like an experiment. I got nothing to lose but some cash doing it so.

Rev.
I was surprised too. I tried it because nothing else worked. It has helped quite a bit. I used to be bothered about 9/12 of the year, now it's only 3-4 months a year.

The technique used on me is called "NAET" (pronounced Nate), if I recall. It took many months. I almost didn't do it because the Chiropractor doing it said it would take a while before I noticed a difference. But I decided to go ahead. I'm glad I did--it made a huge difference.

The only time my allergies are really bad are in the spring when the trees bloom and get leaves, and sometimes in Aug/Sep. It really worked.

The time to do it is when you ARE NOT exposed to the allergines, so Fall/Winter would be a good time to start. Good luck.
