Illusione Epernay?

I didn't get any ammonia from the one I smoked, but it was a different size.

Was told by a distributor the only difference is in shapes/sizes, tobaccos are identical.

I was told the blend is slightly tweaked and not exactly the same.

The ones I smoked did not taste the same. And to be honest even if they where the same blend none of the 4 sizes is the same as the eccj. One is close but no cigar LOL

Just had one of these yesterday for the first time. Classic Illusione flavor profile. A little smoother than some. No ammonia here. Liked it plenty.

I love the classic Illusione line (888 favorite size), but this might be my new favorite. Picked up 5 at my BM store in Florida, and smoked two so far (not sure of exact size right now but similar in size and gauge as the 88 and both were just awesome.

Smoke and flavor seemed almost creamy to me, not as spicy as the regular line. Most say it's lighter than the regular line, which is probably true, I just rarely get overpowered by any of the classic illusiones, so I'm a pretty poor judge of strength so can't comment there (it's definitely at least medium though since I know when I smoke something too light.) The draw, burn, and ash were perfect and I loved the volume of smoke it produced - nice and full - really letting you experience the aroma. Zero bitterness, even at the nub. The only thing that makes me put this down is my burnt fingers.

The guys at DWCR have been talking them up for a long time, they finally came in to my B&M but are really pricey even for a small vitola. Haven't bought yet. Especially after a good review in Cigar Aficionado I figure their stock has gone way up...from everything I've heard, it's a good cigar.

no he didnt donny... i hated the few i smoked... kinda like smoking a fruity stick of air

Sorry to hear that but at least it saves me some money.

I have smoked a few of almost all of them and they all have tasted like a rebanded Macanudo to me.

The Eppernay is way better than the ECCJ - I have purchased boxes of both cigars - and the Eppernays, is the best Illusione has ever put out.
