Recommend the next step up.....

Punch Maduro is my go to smoke. I would love to take the next step up in the cigar world. What do you think I should try next? What would be more flavorful and stronger? Padron?

Re: Recommend the next step up.....

Punch is a great cigar and you could actually stay with that line and get stronger cigars,,,but that would keep you from trying a host of other great cigars out there. Try different brands,,there are tons of them.

Don't eat for a day then sit down to enjoy a La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero Chisel. It is a really mild but great smoke.

Have you ever tried a Rocky Patel Edge maduro? It packs a punch and is loaded with spice. Might be one to put on the list

Another fine Maduro is my old favorite, the La Gloria Cubana Wavell. You cannot go wrong with one of those little flavor bombs!!

If you like maduros, some suggestions:

La Gloria Cubana Serie R (start with the #4 or #5 and work up to #7)
Rocky Patel Edge
CAO Brazilia
CAO MX2
Padron 5000
5 Vegas Serie A

Re: Recommend the next step up.....

Love the Punch line. Smoked a lot of them when I started out. I think the top of the line Punch is the Gran Cru #2 Pyramid Maduro.

Some other maduros I really enjoy are:

> $100 a box

Trinidad robusto (Classic Maduro, Churchill is good also)
Kristoff Torpedo (Different flavor, great smoke)
Padron 1964 Principe (Best Maduro made)
Anejo Viejo (Great smoke when you can find them)

< $100 a box

Olivia Serie G Belicoso (best cigar value)
Saint Luis Rey Rothchilde (kick butt cigar)
Sancho Panza Double Maduro Quixote (best "cheap smoke" around)
LFD Double Ligero Chiselito (Strong but smooth, best if rested awhile)
Camacho Corojo Monarca
Perdomo Lot #23 Belicoso
Taboo Special Forces Original Robusto (unusual strong flavor)
Torano Casa Torano Robusto

Re: Recommend the next step up.....

I guess the next step up would be a real Punch. Go for the Royal Selection No. 11, Double Corona or Super Selection No. 1
