Thats great and I am happy for you to get such a pleasant experience.

I was thinking about general customer service today (with another product) and the girl on the other end of the line was helpful, smart, attentive, reactionary, sensible and professional.
And at the end of the conversation, I felt like telling her how happy I was, how great she is & in general I was ready to heap a whole lotta loving her way.
And then I got to thinking....this is exactly what we should be expecting, this high level of customer service should be the norm and this is how it should always be so...do I really need to thank her to no end and send so much joy her way just because this 'normal' level of customer service is so rare these days???
That just struck me as an odd thought.
That we can get so happy these days when people are basically just doing their jobs right.
Of course I thanked her and told her how great she was and how good of a job she was doing but needing to say that with so much *shock and awe* behind my voice seems annoying.
Where are the Good Old Days?!?

Hope you enjoy smoking those guys after the 2 weeks are up.

Actually I think the "Good Old Days" are coming back. A lot of companies are beginning to realize that this economy might take them down if they don't straighten up and fly right. My bank has begun refering to me by my name and thanking me for banking with them. Today, in a department store, I had a question that the clerk couldnt answer. The clerk graciously asked me to wait a moment and returned with an assistant manager. I had an issue with the purchase of a product and the assistant manager OK'd my request and gave me 10% off, just cuz. Dollars are short and every one that crosses a counter is precious. In the coming months, I foresee a lot less "take the annoying customer for granted" mind set. I for one will be rewarding such businesses with my dollars and will keep them away from the arrogant wankers who still dont get it.

These are actually gonna get a several month nap. Thankfully I have a few set back that I will smoke until these are ready.
