Re: Your favorite box pressed

I've only had a few, but the 601 Blue Toro is my favorite, hands-down. The only way I could like them more would be if they were half-priced.

I'm not a big box-press proponent, but I would have to say Padron. Also +1 on the 601 Blue, great smoke.

Re: Your favorite box pressed

LOVE the box press (or should I say semi box press), especially the one on my favorite cigar, the Padron 3000!!! Actually seem to prefer the semi over the exact box press...

Re: Your favorite box pressed

Obviously going to say the Padron Anny line.. but other than that.. one cigar that REALLY tastes better as a box press than any other vitola in its line is the CAO Brazilia

I haven't tried many box pressed, but out of the ones I have tried, the Brazillia is one of my favs and one I keep on hand.

High end is the Padron Serie 1926 80th Maduro, and regular stick, believe it or not, the El Mejor Espresso Torpedo. $45 a box of 20.

Proponent is a great word!

The main reason it is in my regular vocabulary now, is that there was a moderator on another site I was on, who became very cranky and serious over a course of time. To help him lighten up, someone made a photoshopped business card that listed his job title as "Serious Business Proponent."

Re: Your favorite box pressed

I am not the biggest fan of the box press either but it is growing on me, smoked a nice IT super Fuerte Maduro BP and it was real good.

My favorite would have to be the Padron Anny line. As I have not smoked a 601 blue yet

Re: Your favorite box pressed

I really like ERDM's rectangulare and Famous Nic 3000 robustos. Of course Padron Anni's are nice too, but I'd probably need to be able to afford more than 1 a year to call them my favorite!

Re: Your favorite box pressed

Im not a huge box press fan since i like to roll my cigars as i smoke them. Kinda feels funny. But I do have many pressed cigars in my stable. Nestor Reserve Maduro, Onyx Reserve, 5 Vegas Classic 55s, Oliva Series G, and I did get my hands on a 601 Blue but I havent smoked it yet.
