The Go-To List
OK, fellas, we're constantly mentioning our favorite "Go-To" smokes, so I figured I'd start a thread to see what they are. Please tell us your three Go-To's and a little about why they have the sacred designation. These are the three cigars you could never fathom being without!
Mine are: LGC Serie R No. 5 Maduro - Great construction, creamy, sweet, chocolatty goodness with a fantastic finish. CAO Brazilia Gol!/Amazon - Typical, top flight CAO construction, smooth and consistent medium draw. Pillows of spicy, citrusy smoke with great pepper and some dark chocolate. The Edge Maduro Toro or Torpedo - Always know Im in for a real treat with these. Again, lots of chocolate and dark roast coffee.

Re: The Go-To List
Pepin Blue in any size.
Pepin Black in the small ring guages. CAO MX2. There are so many cigars in and out of my collection that I have yet to try. I've only got about a year and a half in the game but so far these have the most in your face delicious flavors that I have experienced. |

What I would change for me would be a CAO Brazilia. Nice picks, we must have similar tastes

Re: The Go-To List
You just had to make this hard, its always hard for me to pick out just a few cigars.
1. Padilla Miami Robusto, the new blend. Just enough spice with rich tobacco flavor and cocoa. 2. Illusione 88. Never a let done, more spice then the Miami and compex. 3. Ashton VSG. Some spice, complex, and smooth.

Re: The Go-To List
Right now:
5 Vegas Relic: Perhaps its the "new to me" aspect, but I have really been enjoying these LGC: My standard, since day 1 go to. Nothing fancy, just a good smoke. ERDM: a robusto oscuro was the first cigar I ever liked from start to finish. Part of the enjoyment is reminiscing about my early cigar smoking days, the rest of it is cause these are darn good smokes. There are tons more though! honorable mentions: perdomo lot 23 rp sun grown punch etc.....

Re: The Go-To List
1) Mayorga H2000 Toro or Church. A mild to medium Coffee infused cigar that goes Great with my morning coffee. Also has a long sweet after taste.
2) Illusione any size. Has a great array of flavors with the caramel in the middle and a great long sweet after taste. 3) Camacho Triple Maduro. Sweet chocolate / coffee flavor with a long sweet after taste and a nice strong nicotine rush.

Re: The Go-To List
This is hard for me to post because I've acquired two new favorites that bumped the old #2 and #3 down and I've only had one each of my two new fav's. So,
Currently: #1 - Padron 4000 Maduro #2 - La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero Hammer (Holt's exclusive vitola) #3 - Old Henry Toro Maduro Prior to trying number 2 and 3 for the first time my number 2 was Rockey Patel Fusion (blue band) and number 3 was Bolivar Cofradia 654 Oscuro. Rev. |

Re: The Go-To List
Amen to that! I got one in a Holts sampler pack and am dying for more. I'm going to be ordering them via their "6 pack to go" within the next couple of days. I wanted to try one due to the comments here and sure enough I was amazed by it.

Re: The Go-To List
I feel ya, man. When I concocted this thread, I had my own three Go-To's in mind. Then, I started thinking about the three others I always keep around... then, I realized there were three more, beyond that.
Anyway, I decided to keep it at three, since there is some disparity in experience levels here and I wanted everyone to be able to play and to make a case for their own three Go-To's. (Not the ones you sit and dream about, but the ANCHOR smokes you never allow your 'dor to run out of.) Thanks to your hard work and everyone elses, this is already proving to be a really fun thread! BTW, I'm really intrigued by Rev's enchantment with Old Henry. Never even heard of them. How do I get one to try? Cheers Y'all!
