My suggestion to you guys hiding it from your spouses is to first smoke one with some buddies in celebration of something (aka wedding, anniversary, birthday, etc.). Then move to smoking the occasional on the golf course, etc. Worked for me.

This is a tough situation for anyone. Friends come and go, some are friends for life. If they are true friends , they will accept your smoking cigars. If not, maybe not true friends.
Wife, different story. It's about compromise, no right answers just a happy medium at best. 2nd wife was a bioootch and there was only one way, her way. No way to life life on this earth, we're not here all that long anyway.

At home, its my rules. When I'm out, I don't smoke unless my friends do. Wife doesn't mind a bit.
As I told a relative (who I have little regard for) at Thanksgiving at my house when I lit up on the deck... "If you don't like my smoke, go inside. Its my house. I don't like your kids, but when I'm at your place I don't expect you to lock them in the closet. Same thing." |
