CAO eLements Event

I went to the Elements tasting for the LX2. What a great way to do a cigar event! The shop could have done a better job, but Tim Ozgener was great. It was very interesting to taste the different tobaccos in the LX2 as individual sticks.

For those who do not know what they do, you receive three sticks that are made 100% with one of the three main types of tobacco in the LX2. After you smoke each one and note the differences in the taste and feel, you smoke an LX2. It was very interesting as Tim talked about how they taste similar sticks to develop the flavor profile for their cigars.

I could do a whole puro of the pueblo nuevo. That was a very tasty cigar on its own.

I highly recommend everyone going to one of these. They will have a great experience and learn a lot.

Very cool concept, I wish every company would do this, it really helps to educate fellow BoTL's on the whole cigar process.

This is an awesome idea. I'm glad you posted it, I have never heard of it before. I would love to go to one, maybe on a vacation this summer I'll intersect one. Can you describe how the different puros tasted?

They did the same thing at the Big Smoke in Vegas last November. It was very educational.

Tim said it was the success of the seminar at the Big Smoke that got them doing this. You can find out when the next events are by going onto the CAO.com web site and clicking on "Events"

Re: CAO eLements Event

Partagas did something like that a couple of years ago and I was fortunate enough to partake in the experience. Here are a couple of links with photos if you have the time to check them out.

Loads of fun and very educational.

Thanks for sharing the CAO version.

Re: CAO eLements Event

Good idea. I picked up an LX2 robusto at a bike meet a few weeks ago on the outer banks of NC. It was a truly tasty cigar, although there aren't too many CAO products (unflavored) that I don't like. I was interested in something that would be comparable to the LFD double ligero. I think it is. I can't pick them up locally though.
