Best places to go in Manhattan to smoke?
Me and a friend are going up to New York for my birthday at the end of the summer and we're looking for a good place to smoke while we're there. I checked the New York section of the places to smoke but haven't found much. We'd prefer a good bar that allows you to bring your own sticks. Let me know if anyone knows anywhere good.
Adding: We are staying in midtown Manhattan and going to a Yankees-Red Sox game Saturday afternoon so preferably something in the midtown area would be our preference, but if it's worth it we'll make a trip haha.

They have a lot of great lounges, you can find few on Cigar Aficionado video section! Cigar Aficionado lounge is awesome too! Have a great time and a B-Day in NY!

My buddy just was up there just last week. He went to the C.A. Lounge & said it was awesome. He did say the markup on the sticks there was pretty steep, so get ready for some sticker shock!!!

The best place bar none to me is Merchants East. Just slightly sophisticated, but not pretentious. Laid back. Couches. Huge alchohol selection. Live jazz a few nights a week. And you can smoke your own with no cutting fee!! I suggest you at least buy a cigar out of courtesy though. I always do.

During the day, Davidoff on Madison ave. At night, I suggest the Rooftop Bar at the Peninsula Hotel. It has an amazing few and some very good drinks and is very cigar friendly. My wife and I went there after dinner at Peter Lugers over Memorial Day Weekend. Great night,

Interesting timing. Check out the latest Cigar Aficionado. It has a whole big article on cigar bars in Manhattan, including a list/reviews and map.

Thanks for all of your help everyone. I've looked into it but am going to get the cigar afficianado tomorrow. I checked out their video and some reviews of some places, but I was wondering about dress code and pricing. Since it's such a rare occasion the price isn't too big of a deal but the dress code is, basically anything that doesn't require a jacket or a tie or a buttoned down shirt. Shorts and a collared shirt is probably what we'll be wearing. Does anyone know anything about club macanudo, the cigar afficianado lounge, and merchants? Thanks for the help.
Edit: Also a place that allows you to bring your own is a must, a cutter's fee is fine.

I like the davidoff store its on Columbus square 59th street inside the time warner building.

Merchant's lets you bring your own, no cutting fee as long as you buy some drinks.
