Re: Rid Cigar Smell in hair? HELP!

Personally I wear a hat when I smoke. Limits the problem but doesn't solve it.

I think having short hair also helps plus I smoke in pretty well ventilated areas.

Re: Rid Cigar Smell in hair? HELP!

You should try a shorter hair style as longer hair tends to absorb the smell.

Never had that problem. Got a short hair cut though. Try dropping some lemon/lime juice in your conditioner and leave it in. Couldn't hurt.

Re: Rid Cigar Smell in hair? HELP!

1) Wear a hat if possible (helps a lot)
2) Get a better shampoo. You can even try a shampoo that has some scent, which will at least mask the odor if any remains.

When I smoke during the day, I'll usually put on a bit of scented face lotion or after shave once I finish washing my face--the added scent will mask any smokey odors that may still linger (sometimes smoke DOES seem to hang on forever, it depends a lot on the cigar actually).

Careful with the lemon juice, unless you want your hair lightened. May work for your hands, but will bleach your hair if not washed out completely.
Definately change shampoos, and do the rinse and repeat. I've never had any lingering scent after washing, and I have long hair.

Re: Rid Cigar Smell in hair? HELP!

I never have had this problem, or I never noticed. I don't go around smelling my own hair.

I make a point of projecting my delicious cigar smoke smell to others...nothing like wearing the clothes you smoked in the night before out on the town and watching the faces of the PC police turn up in disgust.

[QUOTE=Frinkiac7;2633397] I don't go around smelling my own hair.

I just have one question fellas....how many of you have hair long enough to even reach your nose?

I am suprised though at how much more lingering scent my hair holds, than say my clothes do. And with the humidity and rain in South FL right now, it brings it out more. So as much as I really don't think others can smell my hair, having it near my own nose throughout the day, does become a bit potent. Since we've had rain a lot down here lately, we couldn't enojoy our cigars outdoors.

Also, if the after-scent of even the finest finished cigar, is so pleasant, then why do we toss old ash tray remnants? Why not save them in a big jar to enjoy, or put them in our humidors to add to the aroma?

It would effect the flavor of the cigars that were resting in there I dont think you would want to do that
