Event for them this Thursday at one of the local B&Ms so I'll have to check it out.

Thanks for all the feedback guys. Haven't had any smokes lately due to anxiety, which sucks. Been dying to have a nice smoke though. I'll have to pick up a 5er of these some time this summer.

Re: San Cristobal

I've had a few of these. I think they are really good cigars. Great construction and really good taste. However, I guess I have to be the first one to say I don't think they are that good to command the price they charge for them. I've had so very many smokes that were under $8 that were far better.

For a while I was considering getting the San Cristobol sampler from Holts until I had my last one. While smoking it I just thought, "You know... while these are really good they are not superb nor unique". So I figured I'd pass on the sampler.

They are quite good though. Try one yourself, you likely will not be disappointed. Though if you're a bit more critical like me you might think the price is a bit steep for what you get.

I'm with you Rev. I am a Pepin whore and I still think these are very good smokes but to me they are slightly overpriced. I also think they deviate from the traditional DPG style. If you want to try a very similar DPG smoke but don't want to break the bank, I suggest you try Benchmade.

Sorry to hear about the anxiety probs. That keeps you from smokin huh? I would have thought you'd really be burning though them.

Pepin really gets around... I was looking through a Holts catalog and he makes about 10-15 different cigars for different companies other than his own. Unbelievable. I really enjoyed the Old Henry's. They were great.
The San Cristobal has been out for about 2 years. Not my cup of tea.

The La Aroma de Cuba Edicion Especial by Pepin is great!
