Talking Favorite Small Cigars?

Some times I find some cigars just last too long. By the time I'm half way through to 3/4th I don't really want more. Robusto's are normally good, Belicoso's are okay as long as they don't get too big (torpedo shape but under 5 1/2 inches. Torpedos and Toro's are usually 6" or more, which can last me 2 hours+! Also if the ring gauge is fat it slows the burn as well. 5 x 50 is plenty for me. 6 x 50 or 5 x 60 is a bit too much (I still smoke it, just don't go to the nub).

I enjoy small cigars because they are quick and usually have less issues with the draw and burn. Cigarillo's are a bit too small. That's usually around 3 1/2 to 4 inches with 22 to 26 ring gauge. They are a nice 5-10 smoke for me. But I find that they are a bit too small. They are more wrapper than filler! Plus they burn so fast.

Alas, I've found "petite corona". Around 4 to 4 1/2 inch with 30 to 38 ring gauge. 4 x 32 are great and 4 1/2 x 36 are probably my favorite. 25 to 35 minute smokes. They have a good ammount of filler in them making them more like a normal sized cigar with a slower burn and packed with flavor, yet they are small enough for a 30 minute or so smoke. Also whats good is if you decide you want more then you can always just light up another.

So my question to you is, what is some of your favorite small cigars? Can be any size thats smaller than the standard robusto.

For me, my favorite would have been the Ashton Half Corona. 4 1/8 x 37 Cameroon wrapper and binder with Dominican filler. Very taste smoke and a great size. A bit pricey. You could buy a 5 Vegas Classic Robusto or bigger for one of these.

I was looking for some more affordable smokes that can also pack a tasty punch in a 30 minute or so time frame. I was looking at some Olor Fuerte on Famous. Saw them in the catalog and they looked delicious as a robusto. When I was browsing online I saw that they had a Poquitos size! 4 x 3/16 and a 36 ring gauge. And at $40.00 for 30 of them, its not all too expensive. Haven't heard to much about these cigars though. Anyone try any Olor? Would you recomend them? Theres a few reviews on them in the review system (not the forums) on Puff. None go into much details and they are mixed reviews.

Thanks for reading fellas, I look forward to your replies and recomendations.

P.S. Thanks to those who keep killing my damn troops and stealing my gold in Army! REVENGE WILL BE MINE, MWUAHAHA.

Yeah saw those Tres Mystique's. $8.00+ for a single! Nearly a robusto though. The Enchantment is nearly a Nub. 4 1/2 by 60!

I love Padrons though, got to try those. How expensive are they? An anniversary Padron can't be cheap! Reguardless of size! The principe is roughly the same size as the Ashton correct? Almost a robusto.

Often overlooked of the Padrons is their other sizes of their regular line. Not often you hear of ones outside the #2000 to #7000 range. Coritcos. 4 1/4 x 36. My favorite size. Going to have to try some of them. About $2.00 a pop and they come in Maduro too! Found that CigarsInternational has cheapest price on these. But they are the only Padron out of stock, figures... :"(

Would probably take me hour to hour and a half. Pretty much size of a robusto. 4 1/2 x 54. Half inch shorter, but bigger ring gauge.

The 5 Vegas Shorties on the other hand are a good size.

CAO also offers a 4 x 38 size on most of their cigars. Brazilia, Italia, Cameroon, Maduro, Criollo, Mx2, Gold. Prices vary based on the type. Brazilia's are around $1.75 each. Italia's a little more.

Cohiba also has 2 smaller cigars. Cohiba Black 4 1/10 x 36. and Cohiba 4 1/5 x 34. They are around $1.75 each.

Small Cigars - Cigars International

Theres some other goodies there as well. Partigas, Macanudo, Romeo y Julieta.

Re: Favorite Small Cigars?

I like Nub cigar last around 30-50 mins, and full of flavors! Try Montesino Robusto, they run around 4,50$ a stick, and they are good, and don't last to long either!

I bought a tin of Shorties, smoked two of them, and immediately bought a whole brick. I also like the Partagas Black Pronto a lot, but not as much as the Shorty. The Fuente Short Story is an awesome smoke, one of my favorites, but it's probably a little bigger than what you're looking for. I'm a slow smoker, too. A standard 4.5x44 petite corona takes me 45 minutes to an hour.

Re: Favorite Small Cigars?

I used to really like the cheap Punch London Club for a quick, small morning smoke...until recently they used to be like $28 bucks a box...now after "SCHIP related" price increases they're around $40. It's a nice smoke, but if I'm shelling out that much for them, not so much.

Agreed. I keep a box of the Punch London Club (I think they are 4 X 40") for those times when I don't have an hour to enjoy a cigar. They have a nice taste to them and for the price they were perfect.
