CI Daily Deal question - Which Gurkhas?

Howdy All:

I hope you are well.

I am not sure if this is the right place for this I put it in the retail area but I don't think it belongs there.

I just got an email from CI for this daily deal- Cigars International- Cigars International

My question is which ones do I pick? Do I just go for the most expensive one? I am really, really new at this.

I have had both of these and liked them-
Gurkha Doble Maduro Toro (6" x 52) MSRP: $40
Gurkha Triple Ligero Toro (6.1" x 52) MSRP: $40
So I would want to try something else.

Any thoughts?

Best regards, tony

Re: CI Daily Deal question - Which Gurkhas?

you have to pick one from the small list, and then one from the big list. The regent toros are amazing. i know they are the most expensive one, but that's not why i'd pick them, they are just a great smoke.

from the 2nd list i'd pick the doble maduro or the regent nepalese warriors.

If it were me I would go with the regent toros from list 1 and from list 2 the nepalese warrior.

I picked up 10 regents and 10 Nepalese warriors for $50 from CI a little while back. Both very nice sticks.

Re: CI Daily Deal question - Which Gurkhas?

The Class Regent Toro is on of my favorite smokes. I've burned a pile of them. I have some Nepalese resting in the cooler, but I haven't tried one yet.

I'm a Gurkha ho, and they can be expensive at retail, so I low-ball them on C-Bid and just keep hammering at them until I win what I want at a price I'm willing to pay.

IMO it is a toss-up on which is more overrated, Gurkha or Cohiba Red Dot.

Both the regent and regent nepalese warriors are rolled in Torano's factory. the Nepalese warrior is the exact same as the regent.. just with a Cammy wrapper

Thumbs up Re: CI Daily Deal question - Which Gurkhas?

Those are good, but I also like the Black Puro and the Fuerte. Also the Centurian Perfecto #1 and the Anniversary Perfecto are great.

Re: CI Daily Deal question - Which Gurkhas?

The one and only Gurkha that I have ever smoked was at Olive's in Indianapolis back in 2008. My brother-in-law and I both ordered a Gurkha Beauty and it was a good smoke. I do think they are over priced, however.

No Gurkhas here either. Have never run across anyone who smokes them, even at near bundle prices. I rarely just bad mouth a cigar, but this line has an MSRP so grossly inappropriate to quality, that I make an exception for it.

Re: CI Daily Deal question - Which Gurkhas?

I am not sure about the deal CI is offering that you are referring to but CBID might be your best bet to pick them up.

Regents and Nepalese Warriors are getting good press in this thread. Of the new'er' ones I like the Gurkha Blacks, and really have enjoyed the Royal Brigades.

FWIW
