The best Cubans to try?

Howdy All:

I hope you are doing great.

Still a new guy here and learning. But I am heading to Lyon France and Hannover Germany next week. I am assuming that I will be able to find Cubans so I was curious as to what the best ones to try would be? Any help would be appreciated and if anyone knows where to buy them in those two locations that would be cool too.

Best regards, tony

Re: The best Cubans to try?

Good Question-

I am guessing up to 30 or 40 us dollars. unless there is this something awesome that you just have to try if you are only going to have one chance.

Re: The best Cubans to try?

Most cc's need a few years of age before they really get good. So if you can, spend the extra if your buying to smoke while on holidays. I certainly do not disagree with smokeydog. The Monte 4 is my favorite cigar.

Re: The best Cubans to try?

I would recomend sticking to LCDH stores or large B&M stores to avoid fakes...I have heard of some people getting burned with high quality fakes throughout Europe.
As far as what you should try;
Romeo and Julieta-Churchills and short churchills
Ramon Allones- Specially selected
Hoyo De Monterray- Double coronas and churchills
Juan Lopez- no. 2
Montecristo- no. 2 and no. 4
Partagas - anything really...but the SD4 are amazing
H Upman sir Winstons and Mag 46
Bolivar- Belicoso Finos and Royal Corona
Those are most of the staples...with the exception of Cohibas...as I find them overpriced and if you're new to CC, they are not worth it IMHO

Hope that helps. I am sure others will chime in with their choices.

Have a good trip

cheers
