What New Brands or Blends Have You Tried This Month?

Just curious as to what new brands or blends have you tried this month so far? Since I am relatively new to smoking premium cigars (since Dec. last year) I have been trying a lot of different smokes. So far this month I have tried:

Drew Estates La Viejo Cubana
CI Legends Blue Label (Matasa)
Ashton Aged Maduro
Jesus Fuego 777
Padilla Miami
Rocky Patel Decade

Re: What New Brands or Blends Have You Tried This Month?

This has been a big month of firsts for me as well, but that's typical because I'm pretty much still a noob.

Tatuaje Verocu #1 -- Fanfrakingtastic cigar, probably the yummiest I've ever had
Padilla Miami lancero -- Very good, though I think it needs a little more rest for the flavors to coalesce
Illusione 88 -- Another fantastic cigar...SOO dark and rich, a bit overpowering for me actually, but awesome
Illusione cg:4 -- Great stick, tons of flavor, but not as good as the 88
Illusione Cuchillos Cubanos 46-- Probably the BEST cigar I've ever had at that price point, but needs rest (got harsh at the 1/2 way mark)
Oliva Con. Reserve robusto -- Okay, seems like a typical Connie. I have a few more, we'll see if they are any better
5 Vegas Relic -- Okay. It had enough flavor to keep me interested in smoking it...but I felt like nothing "happened" with the cigar. Over-hyped, imvho.
Tatuaje Verocu #9 -- Hints of the Verocu #1 flavor, but otherwise no better than the Angeles. But these are very young, so I'll let them rest and (I'm told) they'll get better
RP Vintage '92 Sixty -- I'm still amazed at how much "size matters" in cigars. The Sixty is very different than the smaller ring gauges, but I did enjoy it. (I think the Churchill is my fave, though).
RP Edge Maduro "Missile" -- The "Missile" is a miss in my book--not nearly as good as the toro
LFD L-400 Oscuro -- This was my first LFD cigar, and all I can say is WOW! This was dark, rich, spicy, strong, and very flavorful. It was right at my limit in terms of flavor and strength, but I really enjoyed it.

El Baton - I loved it, and am looking to buy more soon online somewhere. It was a medium to full bodied smoke with amazing flavor. Check them out if you can.

Re: What New Brands or Blends Have You Tried This Month?

I'm also very new to cigars, this is what I've tried in the last couple weeks:
5 vagas Robusto= liked it but strong
John Bull Sir Winston= too mild of a start but better toward the end
Punch Elite= strong beginning but calmed down a little about midway
Gurkha Symphony Toro= good mild smoke

Padron 2000, It started out spicy, but mellowed out quick. Very nice!

FALTO

Only thing new to me I've tried recently has been a Falto Legado. Really well blended, medium strength smoke of impeccable construction. This one has a nic' wrapper, dom' binder and nic/dom filler. I think the only place you can get them right now is from Indy Cigar Bar/Gilmore and Johnston. Joe Gilmore is a member here and my dealings with them have been all sortsa pleasant!

I've had an El Baton napping in my humi for a couple months that I might fire up today. It'll be my first.

Re: What New Brands or Blends Have You Tried This Month?

Tatuaje verocu 9 + Fantastuic
Old Henry robustos M&N + very nice smokes
LFD double ligero = Great smoke
Today: Gurkha Black Puro = Absolutely awful! Seemed to be well constructed but had bad burn. Flavor was like an ashtray and by 3" was so bitter I had to toss it.

Re: What New Brands or Blends Have You Tried This Month?

Padilla 1932- very smooth tasting

Diamond Crown Maximus- excellent all around cigar, more medium bodied than mild to me at least

Ashton ESG- This cigar was unbelievable to me. Complex and one of the best cigars I have ever had. I wish I could afford a box of these.

I got 2 from a good friend and been saving them for some time now.

Cools you down after a stressful day at work, like any good cigar would do…
