I see a lot of praise on these. Can you give some form of description on how they taste or what you loved about them?

Rev.
Rev., these are made for Ashton by Pepin. They do have a bit of the Pepin profile but are not as packed with spice as most of his sticks. (think more of red or even white label Tatuaje strength). I agree with the OP, to me these are one of the best "bang for your buck" cigars on the market.

Re: Benchmade

Very similar to the San Cristobal blend but much cheaper. I bought a box of Benchmade and I must say I ended up disapointed with them. I'm saving them to see if some aging helps.

Re: Benchmade

I have always been a fan of the benchmade. I had a few bad ones mixed in there. I guess they are hit or miss. But they have a good flavor profile for being a pepin blend

Re: Benchmade

I think they taste very similar to the Cubaos. The toro especially has a nice punch to it. Nice stick for the money.

Re: Benchmade

I could tell right away when i lit it that it was a peppin.. Wasnt quite as complex as most of his blends, but that was expected.. Reminds me ALOT of my tat p's

Re: Benchmade

I thought they tasted alot like a Cuban Classic but alot milder. For a mixed filler i was impressed. Great construction and good burn. The churchill lasted for a very very very long time.

I bought a box of these 6 months ago. I had one the other day, and I must say, they are aging well.

Re: Benchmade

I'm 2/3rds into a box of Robusto size and I enjoy them. Like said above its a Pepin blend made by Ashton. Its a Cuban Sandwich style with med and long filler (not short and long). They remind me of a cheaper version of the Pepin blends he made for Padilla.

Re: Benchmade

Excellent quality to price ratio especially when you can get them for under $2 per. Some burn issues, but a good cheap stick

They sound like some good cigars for the price, going to have to find some to try.

Re: Benchmade

Had a Ashton event the other night here, & the local rep gave me a Bencmade to try because I was about to buy a Punch along with the event "specials".

His exact words were, & I quote..."Here, smoke this & you'll never buy another Punch again." Well... I was not impressed, & I'll continue to buy the Rare Corojo & Magnum Double Maduro.

It wasn't horrible... But geez... I guess it could be the let down after he hyped it up... Like I said... Not impressed. But for the price... Hey... I guess that I should have been less critcal.

Rant over

Between the Benchmade, Fumadores, and Tatuaje Series P...which Pepin mixed-filler gets the nod from you guys?
