Re: How do you guys do it?

1) I only buy smokes when they are on a crazy special (CI's "Daily Joe", etc) or on cigarbid

2) I try to stick to cheaper smokes when I can, and brake out the nicer sticks for weekends, special occasions, or when I've had a lousy day

3) A word of advice from someone who's made a few mistakes--Don't over buy! It's easy to find a stick you like, then buy a couple boxes of them if you find a good deal...but chances are you'll find a whole lot of cigars you like just as well or better (and your tastes will change from time to time too), and then you'll be stuck with a lot of cigars that you are no longer very excited about. So go slowly and try as many sticks as you can!

(BTW--RP Sungrowns are good cigars, and you can regularly get them for $3.50/stick, and you can also get 2nds of them for about $2/stick!!)

A good cigar maximum 3 times a week is more than good for me....keeps control of the budget and keeps control of what is being smoked.....a bad cigar can make a whole difference....

Re: How do you guys do it?

I smoke 3-4 and up to five some days, and it needn't break the bank to smoke reasonably well. Olivas, DPG Blacks, Padron thousand series, Padilla Signature bundles of 20, and many others are excellent smokes for around a hundred bucks a box/bundle. I have found cigarplace has the cheapest box prices if they have what you want in stock.

Re: How do you guys do it?

I usually smoke around 5 a week, depending on my schedule and the weather. But, I have a weekly budget of around $20-$40 a week to keep my humi stocked

You will have to call your order in, as they don't post the price for this line.
Bundles of the 6x60's are around $75 and the price goes down from there, just no fancy box (it's kinda harsh anyway)
This is the cheapest place I have found for these, plus they are good folks to deal with.
Thank you everyone for the excellent advice!

I will check into the and maybe give that a whirl too along with this company above for the Rockys.

I am also looking at a few of the under $50.00 20 unit bundles at CI, too.

Locally the Rockys are the same price as CI, so far it hasn't been worth it yet to go online for them.

Thanks again!

Seriously though, depending on how serious you are about your cigars, you will probably be cutting corners in other areas of your budget! Another good piece of advice that was offered here was to not buy too much of one cigar type/brand, as your tastes will evolve. Excellent advice in my opinion!

Re: How do you guys do it?

All sage advice, The devil site can have some great deals on 5'ers. Find a cheap smoke you enjoy and make it your daily stick. If your retired you should be able to surf like a mean machine for the best prices!

Re: How do you guys do it?

Go to:

Cigars, Cigar Information and where to find Premium Cigars, Discounted Cigars and even Cheap Cigars

and use the comparison shopper to get an idea where the best deals are.

My average cigar price is around 3-4 dollars.

After hunting down all the great deals you will find there are more then enough cigars in your humi to let the bleading stop for awhile on the credit card...

Re: How do you guys do it?

I've had good luck with Rocky Factory Seconds.

I also like the Alec Bradley 97 Harvest selection.

Also try the Padron 2000 maduros. They run around 4.00 a stick. They are a Premium cigar at a very inexpensive prices. Most of the Oliva's would be good as well.

I love those Rocky Sun growns....

I'm not sure if I should thank you or curse you this link to Atlantic Cigar Company. I ended up spending 35.00 dollars on two 5 packs. A great site that is doubly dangerous for me because it's within driving distance from me. And they call CBid the devil site. HaHa
