Dried stoagie...what to do?

I got a stoagie here from a good friend of mine...Now I'm new to the whole cigar scene and won't lie...I'm hooked for life.

So anyways...the cigar is dry....

How do I fix it? If thats even possible!!?!

Will just say this isn't the kind of cigar you can just go out and purchase here in the US...

as long as the wrapper is intact and isnt flakey stick it in your humi and just forget about it for a long long while and revisit it down the road and hopefully it will rehumidify but it will never be the same

Re: Dried stoagie...what to do?

I've heard you are supposed to slowly re humidify the cigar to avoid the cigar bursting from over humidification in its dry state. I've read that some even take the dried out cigars and place them in separate containers with humdities lower than 65% first.

Re: Dried stoagie...what to do?

Well how did it smoke? Did you have to smoke it that soon though? Something that is hard to get is one that I would not smoke for any occasion.

Re: Dried stoagie...what to do?

I say just smoke it now. I have had plenty of ISO coronas that obviously were not kept in ideal humidity environs. I smoked em and enjoyed that distinctive creamy wood flavor anyway. Maybe not perfect, but certainly not ruined. And a couple of these seemed VERY dry to me.
