Anyone ever used this on cigarsinternational???

I just got a box of Arganese Maduro Presidentes for $35, not bad. I don't know how good some of the other deals on there might be, but i'm assuming that since it's CI, the deals are CBid esque.

I have used it a few times. They are usually tight on the prices. Some ones I won are 5-10 lower than CI regular sale price.

I think you can do better on Cbid for the most part

you can get a deal but like eveything else you have to watch and know prices. i have got a few deals from them but they can be funny sometimes

last week they had the Padilla sampler for 29.99 as the weekly deal , then it went off and the same sampler was on make an offer. the sampler was on the regular board for 39.99 and on the devil site it was on auction going for around 31.

i bid 33 and they said I was cold. go figure.

I've also found the make me an offer stuff to be pretty tight. I've gone on there and tried to offer stuff at 5 or 10 dollars below an average cbid price and have been shot down. Actually, I've never even seen anything other than "cold" on my offers. I stick to cbid and joe's daily deals for the most part.

It pays to know your product and pricing before diving in or at least checking as many sources as possible. This doesn't always work but at least you won't be taken advantage of.

In my experience the bids are seldom cbid-esque, though you can certianly save compared to CI's regular price. The best deals to be had are one things that don't go for cheap on cbid--Fuentes, Padrons, Tatuajes, and other nicer sticks.

I've only one a single item on MMAO--a box of Tats--which I got for 35% off retail, which I was quite happy with!

Well it looks like nobody else has had great luck there.

I have not tried this, but from what I hear the deals are not very good.

You can find some good deals, but you have to be patient as well sometimes.

I've gotten four cabs of RP Old World Reserve from MMAO as well as a good quantity of Perdomo Habanos which haven't been up for a while. The OWRs were at around 50% of the going price (and 70% less than what I would pay at my local B&M), and the Perdomos were about 50% of the going price. On others offers, they have plain not been willing to deal.

However, food for thought. Although a bid may come back as cold, I've raised as little as $1.00 more and gone from COLD to an accepted bid. Make an offer, if cold, raise a small amount, and do it again. If you need to, do it again the next day... raising by $1.00/offer - until you are at what you are willing to pay, or they accept.

Same here. I'm not going to offer near retail if it's supposed to be "make me an offer". If I can do as well without jumping through all the hoops, why bother?

I only tried it once. I don't even remember what it was, but I must have insulted them because they never even responded.
