I agree with having a HUGE herf in the backyard. Double that with a big cookout, loud music, and a few drinks. Plan on it ending after midnight. Also love the skunk scent idea.

Having bitchy neighbors can really be a pain in the ash, I've been there, as have many here I'm sure. As long as you aren't breaking any laws, F 'em!!!!

That is just terrible. Think about the mentatlity of these people to actually call the landlord to complain that the tenant is smoking too many cigars in the backyard.

People need to grow some spines. I see people walking behind or near someone who is smoking in the street and acting that they can not breathe or will collapse because of it. Come on now! It has become absurd.

Also, you are in your yard! What the hell! Have some respect for the legal rights of people and what they do on their property.

You should continue doing what you are doing (you could move it to the sidewalk haha) and leave the rest alone. Screw them. These people sound like they will never be satisfied and will (probably NEED) to have something to complain about.

Well Ndimarco, my nickel's worth of free advice is this....

Keep smoking in your backyard. If they call your landlord again, start BBQ more often with wood chips, it is summer time!

I wouldn't confront them, obviously, they aren't confronting you and probabbly afraid to do so....

If your landlord calls again, tell him politely, it's your right to smoke there, BBQ there, run through the sprinklers, etc. provided there are no city ordinances (which I doubt), and to please tell these "neighbors" to stop calling him... I am sure he could really care less about it if your a good tenant and take care of his property.

They dont even have the balls to come over themselves. They have to call my landlord, about smoking in MY BACKYARD!!! Needless to say Im a little fired up!

I agree with most of the people here, no need to confront your neighbor just keep smoking in your backyard and enjoy it. F**k em if they can't take a joke. Just remember that if your neighbor knows anything about the laws they do have a legal recourse. Smoke travelling from your yard to thiers could be considered trespassing (as it has held up in courts on numerous smells and smokes) so no need to poke the bear. Hope everything goes ok for you!
