Cigar room venting into roof?
Hey gents
Im building a cigar room... 1059 Cubic feet I have a 650cfm inline fan in ceiling. That should sort me out with regards to eliminating the smoke. I was hoping to also use the fan to exhaust air into the roof to create a positive pressure so as to keep dust etc off my tools that have a storage space. The roof tiles each have about 1/4 inch gap, 3 inches wide, between the overlapping one on top of it, thereby creating quite alot of open air. The dust and dirt are continuously getting in and im assuming that there is quite regular air exchanges in roof. When the fan is venting into roof without smoke, then it's no problem... My question is, if there is smoking, the fan will vent into the roof, but if I leave it on for some time after a smoke, the positive pressure, coupled with the air gaps in tiles and air exchanges should force smoke out and prevent the roof starting to have the stale air smell right? Thanks Clauds |

Re: Cigar room venting into roof?
Usually roofs are vented so it should not be a problem.
