Re: Do I have beetles?
I am going through a similar situation...exect I know I have beetles. I actually just found one crawling around in the empty humidor, which was emptied (stogies in the freezer) and cleaned thoroughly 3 days ago. I got scared of returning the stogies to a humidor that still has larvae (or something) in it and put the (opened) humidor in my freezer. This may have been a knee-jerk reaction...but I didn't know what else to do. Any feedback? Can this damage the cedar?

Re: Do I have beetles?
Well, if anyone cares, freezing the humidor itself didn't seem to hurt it or the cedar any at all. I easily got the humidity back to 70 after it sat for about 8 hours in room temp. The stogies have finished their 5 day trip through the freeze treatment. I am planning to let them sit for a couple months before starting to smoke any of them. Hopefully the bettle horror is over...what an experience!
