Trouble deciding what to smoke...

I have trouble deciding what to smoke... I'll grab a stick and go naaah and put it back.. then stand in front of the humidor like a hungry guy in front of the fridge at midnight shut it, go downstairs and check the other humi... repeate... Anyone else have this problem? It really takes me like 15-20 minutes just to decide what to smoke!

I used to do the same thing, but now I decide what to grab on my 40 minute drive home from work.....then I change my mind once I'm at the cooladoor!!!

About a third of the time I know exactly what I want to smoke and why. The rest of the time I have no idea. So I'll generally reach blindly down to the third or forth row resting in the humi and whatever I pull I smoke. Kinda like a blind taste test, except I know what I'm smoking
Every once in a while, I'll not smoke what I picked. Such as "I can't smoke a Cuban Classic at 7:00 in the morning" or "I'm playing poker tonight and drinking, a mild Fonseca will not fit the bill". Upon which I repeat the process and find something more appropriate.

If I had a stash such as yours, I would be struggling too. hahah. As it stands though, I have a rather modest selection to choose from at any given time. When I go to a cigar store, thats another thing altogether. My wife said I was in the humidor in the shop for over 45 minutes last time I went. And I felt rushed!

I picked out some sticks for tonights poker game and it was hard!
After changing my mind a couple times I loaded the lil 5banger traveldor with an illusion 88, a Monty media-noche with a af maddy roby for a back up. A half hour later I started thinking bout a padilla 32 and stuck one of those in too! I dunno what I'll end up pulling out!! ......

It takes me forever, ill make a decision then see somethin else then go back to the 1st then back to the 2nd Then to a third then finally settle on my original selection.

yeah my humis have major RH swings!! Constantly standing there with the doors open. If im headin to work i just open, grab and run but on the weekends I want a stick that im really gonna enjoy Ill just stand there over thinking it.

Oh yes, I go through this all the time. I have bought too many damn samplers. Every time I grab one I say "man, I only have one left, I should save it". Then I pick up another and pretty much say the same thing.

At times I know exactly what I'm after, at others I take a lot of time deciding. What often causes a dilemma is when I get down to the last one of something I really like.

Yep that is true!

When we get low on something it makes it evn harder!

So we have that to ponder, besides the whole flavor profile, time, mood and possible pairing issues!!!

When I designed and ultimately finished creating my 5 drawer cabi, I was thinking that I would just stock it with one brand in each drawer. 2 other 75 counts for cubies + 1 for misc........
Now I have- .....well, I'm not going to bore you with my problems.... lets just say I need a vinotemp with 9 drawers for singles!!!

Personally, I blame YOU guys for pointing out so many great gars to try and the devil site for making it so easy to strap on some skiis!!! Hahahaahhhaaaahahaaaahaahhaaaaaahaaaaa!!

Oh, by the way....... the plan had been to do the illusion first.

I decided I couldn't wait for the game and smoked the 32 in the afternoon!

Got to the game and decided to burn the Media Noche cause the friend that gave it to me to try was there and I thought it would be fun to make it a contest to see if he could guess what I was smoking. hahahahahaaaa!

See how you guys have modified me? Before Puff, (hereafter refered to as prePuff or P.P.) I wasn't a guy that would go around throwing contests at the drop of a hat!

But I digress!

So then later on I decided I would take it easy and just do the A.F. maddy.

I never did pull out the Illusion!!!!! Snahahahahahaaahaaazahaaaa!!!

By the way, the 32 was kinda loose and soft but still burned true although a little faster than norm, and it delivered all the complexity and spice that I hoped!! Very Cool!

By the way, we had a ton of fun playin poka with a full table a guys, great gars, a couple a beers, tons of laughs, even some chocolate cake and I won the tournament!

Sometimes. Part of the time I go in thinking, "I really want to smoke an XXXX" and grab it. Other times I'm thinking the same thing, but then something different catches my eye. Other times I go through my whole collection groping cigars until I find the one.

Does not take long to pic one out of my cabinet. They would not be in there if I did not like them.

Now picking something out at a B&M is a totally different animal.

Sometimes I know what I want and sometimes I don't. I usely know what I'm gonna smoke but I will see something else and grab it instead.
