Punch London Club Maduro

So, I just sat down for my lunch break and enjoyed a Punch London Club Maduro, and I must say, I have come to really enjoy these. They are only a corona, but for me they seam to last right about an hour. I’ve had four of these in the last two weeks, one that I had sitting for about a year and a half, and three I just bought. Originally I thought the ones I had were the elites, but later found out they were the London clubs. The natural’s are ok, but the Maduro is my favorites, now I just have to figure out how to buy a couple of boxes with out my wife killing me, something about finding my cooler, and me not smoking a lot, she thinks I have plenty.

I just figured I’d share my experience and see if anyone else favors these, I think they will become my go to/daily, or every few day smoke. It seams that my taste is changing, or at least my size preference, I used to enjoy the robusto and Toro sizes, with an occasional Churchill, now it seams to be the corona, double corona, lansecro.

I've been smoking the smaller rg's latley as well, I don't know if it is the crazy heat or if my tastes are changing, but I am loving long slim cigars where I used to only smoke robustos or toros or bigger

For me it was originally a time issue, now it’s a taste thing. Even like cigars, in the smaller ring gauge seam to be more flavorful, before I couldn’t taste them, maybe it’s a maturing thing, me not the cigar.

Either way, I think tomorrow, I will find out, I plan of smoking a Maxx Ego, and I will try one of the Max Nano, I’ll probably start the day off with a pipe on my way to recycling, then have the Nano wile I’m getting the fire ready for the wiener roast for my son’s birthday, then after the party, when the kids that aren’t mine go home, I’ll have the Ego wile the rest of us, adults, sit around the fire and have a drink or two.

I agree the london club is a great cigar if time is an issue, and the maduro is even better.

You said it's a corona and lasts you an hour????

It's 5x40 so its really more of a petit corona, and I dont know how you stretch one out to an hour? I finish one in under 30 min. To me, the point in smoking these is that you can squeeze a flavorful satasfying smoke into about a half hour... If i got a whole hour, i'm going with a robusto not one of these.

I smoke the maduro and it still takes me around 45 minutes, although I usually do it with friends and have a discussion going as well.

These "short smokes" seem on the longer side for me as I've also had one last me a good hour.

Normally its closer to 45min but with distractions, I was at work, and dealing with some issues to distract me from smoking, it was around an hour. I just can’t bring my self to hot box a cigar, they get too hot, and I can’t taste anything except that burnt taste.

Also, an update from my little experiment with the Maxx Ego vs. Nano. First off I enjoyed both of them greatly, and both were very flavorful, however, I was able to notice a little more of the flavor subtleties in the Nano, but I did get more flavor from the Ego. I am guessing it’s the difference in the ratio of wrapper to filler.

Oh, and the Nano, lasted just under 45min, wile the Ego lasted right around 3hrs, what with socializing and all. I guess I’m just a slow smoker, I usually don’t smoke so slow to have a problem with them not staying lit, however, much slower and I’m sure I would.
