From Cigar Aficionado | Archives | That Old Black Magic Its a pretty good article on maduros

Most maduros these days are "treated" at least to some degree. Even the Padron 80th was admitted to be dyed. But it's all natural, parts of the tobacco plant that are used for the dye. I personally hate it, especially the ones that are dyed so much that it comes off on your fingers and mouth...gross!

Re: Graycliff 1666

Got 4 of these in a 20 pack sampler (37 bucks on cibd) At under 2 bucks a pop I'm betting they will impress my young cigar palate

At the same time I got some 5 vegas A's.. so it could be a showdown

Re: Graycliff 1666

1666 is a great smoke at a great price. Unfortunately it is one of the only Greycliffs that are worth the price. There is a rediculous tax on them since they are a bahamian cigar; however, all of the other Greycliffs being price $15-$30 per stick is just about enough to make me vomit. They are nowhere near good enough to be priced in that range!

Re: Graycliff 1666

The new CI catalog contains a number of samplers that contain 1666s, plus deals on the 1666 alone.
