Angry cigarbid packing?

Hi guys..I've been viewing these forums for months and finally decided to join! I recently ordered a few boxes off of cigarbid and have had no issues except one. I ordered a 20 pack of Puros Indios Viejo robusto's and was dissapointed to see the packing job with them. It seemed they just counted out 20, thew them in a zipblock and shipped them out. When I recieved them almost every stick had a damaged or split foot with peices of the tobacco littering the bottom of the bag. Now I know these are $2 sticks and it's not that big of a deal, but surely there is a better way to pack them than that. If this is the way they ship all cigars that arent "boxes" I'll just have to order them from somewhere else. Has anyone else had this problem?

Re: cigarbid packing?

Just contact them. Their customer service is pretty good, and usually their packing is, too. Maybe your shipment was packed by someone about to go home for the day, and they didn't pay proper attention. I'm sure they will make it good.

Re: cigarbid packing?

I got a 5pk sampler that was wrapped up tight as can be in two layers of plastic plus the cello wrapper. I was impressed, just wished they had used a water pillow liek cigar.com BUT I got a nice deal so its all worth it in the long run.

Re: cigarbid packing?

Yeah, if they are that messed up give them a call. They will replace all cigars that are damaged beyond smoking condition. Even if they are a two dollar stick. You DID NOT bid on a cracked item.

Re: cigarbid packing?

sounds like more than a packaging problem. they are not fancy with their packing but usually are safe. have not had a damage problem yet and they never send a water pillow along

Re: cigarbid packing?

I have steady shipments of 5-packs coming from them and I have yet to have a damaged cigar in any package. Sounds like your poor packaging was an exception. Good to hear they stand behind their shipments.

Re: cigarbid packing?

I constantly bitch about Cbids shipping. Ive ordered dozens of times from them and every time they just toss them in an oversized box and tape it up. No bubblewrap no paper no peanuts....notta. Luckily ive had no major damage. Now ive ordered for Cigars International and have had excellent shipping everytime. Go figure.

Re: cigarbid packing?

I just got my first box from cbid and it had been beat up pretty bad. Entire side was crushed in about a 1/2" but all 60 cigars seemed to have made it ok

Re: cigarbid packing?

I've got 2 shipments from them 2nd shipment had 1 cigar in a 5 pack with a crushed foot and a split cap. If it happens again I'm definitely going to make an issue out of it.

Re: cigarbid packing?

I got my first order from cbid this week: 5ers of 5 Vegas gold churchills and reposado salamones. The gold's were packaged nice and tight in cello and were in great shape. 3 out of 5 reposados had major damage, and another one has a cracked foot. Now I don't want to make a stink over a 10$ pack of cigars but I was pretty disappointed. I lit one of the less damaged ones on the way to work this morning and it burnt all crazy and had no resistance on the draw whatsoever. Not really much I can do with the others but I'd definitely be hesitant to purchase anything thats more then a few bucks in the future. Surely the deals are good, but not if they're unsmokable.
