Get 'em.

It's a good medium-bodied cigar.

Re: Need a push

Depends........ have you ever seen him not working? Like shopping or what have you and he recognizes you?? If so, Sure throw him a card or maybe a 20, depending on how many times he makes drops at your doorstep.
If im home I usually catch the garbage men with a Gatorade in the summer..... My garbage can is always neatly placed in my yard while everyone elses gets tossed or if i forget to put it out they honk the horn to remind me.... so a lil goes a long way.

My UPS guy used to come in my yard and drop my boxes off............... then I got a Pit and she about got him (i do have beware of dog signs).... so I guess I gotta give him some athletic shoes, reading glasses, or a box of bandaids for Christmas.

Why on god's earth you got a pitbull is another subject, but NO. What you need to do is keep that dog curbed if you want us to continue to deliver to your house, AT ALL. Do you have any idea how many of our drivers are seriously injured by dogs belonging to neglegent dog owners? Our drivers are more vulnerable than postal carriers, who are allowed to carry mace and pepper spray; UPS drivers cannot. UPS does not allow the carrying of firearms and I wish they did.

As far as your "Beware of Poorly Trained Dog" signs, try that as a defense in civil court. You're gonna get lynched. I have a 70# Bull Terrier, for which no pit is a match, and he KNOWS the UPS guy, the postman and the garbage man. He only "goes" on command, or if he, or my property is agressed upon. That's training.

I don't find it even remotely funny that your dog "about got him". I dont find it even remotely funny that you think you should placate that driver with a pair of tennis shoes and bandaids. That driver has a livelyhood. That driver is providing you a service. That driver has a family to support. That driver has spent YEARS, doing terribly hard jobs, just to get to drive that package car. You think it's funny to scare him and put him in peril? I think you should seriously re-think your entire outlook on the subject.

So, yeah, $20 in an envelope at Christmas, would be a good idea.
