Like bdw said... No... Not spicey at all really. But REALLY GOOD just the same!!! There almost completely different. But you need to try everything in their line anyway!!!

Re: Had my first Oliva V today...

Oliva makes some of the best cigars out there for the price. Most manufacturers smokes are wayyyy overpriced; I went into my local shop yesterday and saw an opus x for 44.00 and a padron 1926 for 30.00. When I smoke an Oliva Serie V at 8-10 dollars a stick I am fully satisfied and so is my wallet.

The Oliva V is a good cigar and well priced. I keep a couple boxes of Belicosos all the time. The DPG Black Belicoso is a good alternative, with a typical spicey tang for about $100/box. They are the best buy in the DPG line I think.

Oliva V is a killer smoke, especially at it's price point. I just finished up a box of double robusto's.

Re: Had my first Oliva V today...

Glad you all enjoy it so much. Keep a look out for the V Maduro's again 4th quarter this year along with some other great things that we have on the horizon. For those of you that love fulll bodied cigars (seems to be almost everyone in this thread, lol) Cain will be launching at the this years trade show. Triple Ligero (ligero from the Jalapa Valley, Esteli, and Condega Nicaragua) all triple fermented making it a very unique, strong, and smooth cigar. I have a feeling you guys will love it!

Re: Had my first Oliva V today...

I love V, the Torpedo is my favorite, with the Double Robusto a close 2nd. Great flavor, very consistent stick at a good price point. Even better with almost a year down time on them.

Glad to here they are going to run some more Maduros out. The first run didn't last long enough. I was lucky enough to get 1 box at MSRP before all the gouging started, I don't play that game. Hopefully they will produce more this time around.

Mark
