Well, I've already found that I really really like the Padilla 68 but I'm trying to order a large variety so I can try some new stuff. Please I plan to participate in the Noob trade to get some more variety!

Good to know. I was thinking of picking up a 5 pack. Maybe I try one and let his buddies sleep for a while.

Thanks for the tip though

Re: Victor Sinclair Connecticut Yankee Torpedo

I've had a few VS Connecticut Yankee Torpedos and they were decent smokes after sitting a few months, nothing too special but a smooth smoke for a good price. However, I bought a box of them and of the around 8 I've smoked, 1 already was so plugged I had to toss the cigar, not a big deal though considering the lower price. I guess you get what you pay for.

I got a sampler with 2 of them and tried one a week after I recieved it from cbid. It seemed one-dimensional, young, and kindof..well "just" a cigar. It definitely could use some aging but I'm really not sure that would make a huge difference. I hear the vintage select is delicious though. Hope that helps!

Hmm. Sorry to hear about the plugged cigar. It's a shame. Hmm maybe I will grab some maybe not, got the new humidor so I have the space. We will see.

Thanks for the info!

Re: Victor Sinclair Connecticut Yankee Torpedo

I had a couple of Victor Somethings a few months ago in a sampler. They weren't bad, but they also weren't good enough to remember exactly what they were. But, being The Tightwad Adventurer, I bought the 55 Chisel sampler from CI, and I like them a lot. More than I really expected to. I was looking for some good, cheap cigars to put in the travel case to take camping, and I have to say, they delivered. Don't get me wrong, they're not going to put Padron and Montecristo out of business, or anything, but for $3 a stick in the "Extreme Flight Sampler", I'll definitely be buying these again. I smoke a lot of torpedos, but I wasn't sure how I would like the chisel-tips, but I do. I'm even considering ordering that Perfecto Mega-Sampler, too.

After my previous experiences with the Victors, I thought I just didn't care for the brand, but I'm glad I was able to set aside my prejudices and take another chance. I now have another staple that I can add to my humidor that won't bust my budget.

Hmm, picked up a 5 pack to throw in the humi, only spent 6 bucks on the devil sight. I think I may have hooked myself on the Perdomo ESV 91' though!

Re: Victor Sinclair Connecticut Yankee Torpedo

As I've mentioned on several occasions, I'm a total 5 Vegas whore. When I saw today's Joe was '08 Limitadas for $3, I had no choice but to order two of the 10-packs. Right? God told me to order those cigars. What are you gonna do, tell Him, "No thanks, Big Guy"? Not me! Anyway, since I was just talking about the Victors, and I already had the free shipping lined up and all, well, I had to order some more of those, too. Right? Right! So I bought another flight of the chisels. And I got the perfectos, too.

Yeah, I totally feel all weak and dirty, but I think I'll get over it in a couple of days. 52 cigars for $148, delivered. I really like how the math is working out on that.

And, I still haven't smoked, or even ordered, the Connecticut Yankees in the title, so I'm a thread-jacking butt-head, on top of everything else. So there.

Also, I'm not totally understanding the logic of why the 08 Limitada sells for $125 for a box of 25, but the same box of the '09 is $199? If anything, I would have expected it to be the other way around.

HAHAHAHAHHAHA>>>WFT?

Can you get you a cappuccino or maybe an espresso double shot next time you go shopping to help limite the damage?

Under $3 per does sound nice though!

Re: Victor Sinclair Connecticut Yankee Torpedo

I tried the Connecticut Yankee and it wasn't bad, but it wasn't something I would order again either...

I got the best of the bohemians sampler and it had a Connecticut Yankee and a Primero, I dunno what it is but the entire sampler tasted the same minus the Primero?!? The Primero actually stood out somewhat as the best to me...

Everyone's palate is different and if you enjoy it, you certainly will have a lot of great deals on cigars filling up your humidor
