Casa Royale

Heya fellas,

Was wondering if anyone has tried these yet? They are a Holts exclusive, blended by Pepin. I'm a big Pepin fan, his Old Henry exclusive for Holts exceeded my expectations for a house brand, then again it was made by Pepin. I think he has a few other exclusives for Holts as well.

I'd love to get a more recent list of all the cigars Pepin makes for people, guy is all over the place.

I have to stop clicking on your threads...first the Nica Libre, now this one. I must resist even if the reviews are good.

Re: Casa Royale

I have had the Imperials and they are a decent medium bodied cigar. I would not rate it in Pepin's Top 10 but it is better than a lot of other stuff on the market.

Haha, sorry!

I'm always trying to look for the next great value cigar. Who knows, could taste like a million bucks. I like checking out cigars you don't really hear from often.

I always have a good selection of mystery smokes on my radar.

Thanks! Appreciate it All my "hard work" of reading cigar catalogs pays off, haha!

I think a Puff Cigar of the Month club would be so cool. I would love to pick out some nice wild card cigars for people to try. Could find a diamond in the rough. I think 1 wild card smoke, 2 good smokes, and 1 high class smoke could be a very good system. This helps people try things they wouldn't necessarily buy on their own. And then everyone in the club can post their reviews on the cigars for that month.

I submitted that idea in Sweet_Cigars contest.

Re: Casa Royale

Just smoked the Robusto size & it was magnificent!!! Kind of reminds my palate of the Pepin blended Troya Clasico Robusto, but it is def not the same blend. It is a not a strong cigar but the flavors are incredible. It has a kind of ginger-citrusy thing going on after the initial pepper, and the spice lingers pleasantly in the background. I am very impressed!!! I have a few more to try. Will report back in the next week after smoking the others.
