La Veja Habana Question

Tried searching the Drew Estate website and reading the descriptions on retailers sites, but still I cannot tell. Are these cigars flavored or just a normal cigar? I won a 5 pack from an auction and I just wasn't sure if I should be storing them with my normal cigars or not. Thanks in advance if anyone knows.

Re: La Veja Habana Question

They are not flavored. You will be fine putting them with your cigars.

Re: La Veja Habana Question

They are not flavored and a VERY good smoke on the cheaper side of the coin!

Enjoy!

Re: La Veja Habana Question

This is a common problem for me as well, when I first started smoking I used to see these in the humidors and didn't know any better so I grabbed a Nasty to try out. I did not enjoy it, since then I've tried one other blend that I didn't think was "infused" but when I got it home it smelled funny and I knew I messed up. Bottom line for me now is I just steer clear of any Drew Estate cigar, I'm sure I'm missing out on some good sticks but I just can't do it again.

Edit: I want to ask about good non-infused drew estate smokes, but I won't tread jack, I search & post up a tread if I can't find what I'm looking for

This is a normal cigar. Most of LVHs I have smoked have been quite good.

Re: La Veja Habana Question

I love the La Vieja Habanas. I opted for the corojo wrapper, and have not regretted it one bit! It is an excellent every-day cigar, however it does seem like the tip is sweetened just a tad, which I find to be pleasant, as I do find myself chompin away at these, especially towards the end. I think you'll find they're a good cigar!

Re: La Veja Habana Question

I bought a bundle of 20 when they were on the weekly special on CI. I got the maduro, and it was pretty good right out of the box! I just regret not getting bundles of the other blends as well. A very good cheap smoke.

The LVH are suppose to be very good for the money. I love the Natural line, which isn't infused but it is a rather sweeter blend and has a sweetened tip. I'm told the Liga Privada is one of his best smokes. And there is also the Chateau Real.

Jonathan Drew is known for making his infused blends, but that is limited to the following.

Acid (I believe the earlier form was called Ambrosia)
Java (Coffee infused)
Isla Del Sol (Coffee infused and sweetened tips)

Re: La Veja Habana Question

I always have a couple of boxes of these on hand. Different sizes and wrappers for an everday smoke or when I have guests. Great flavor, easy draw, tons of smoke and the price can't be beat. I have been buying boxes of the Rothschild Luxo size on CBID for $28-35. I love 'em!

Re: La Veja Habana Question

Liga Privada is indeed a very nice smoke, top shelf quality actually.
