New Cigar Room.

Well,

Just cleaned out our attic and am planning to turn it into a smoke lounge with a small closet size humidor and a mini bar. Anyone have any ideas, pictures or plans they can share. I've already researched the air venting and purification system.
The usable space is 28 x 20 as we are putting up a partition for storage.

Thanks

Marko

Re: New Cigar Room.

Sounds like a super cool idea! Just look for ways to seal/isolate the air transfer from the rest of the house. Tar and nicotine are heavier than air and will migrate down into the rest of the house. I'd recommend using hard surfaces throughout, as opposed to wallpaper and carpeting. Ceiling treatment should be considered too; avoid textures. Strategically placed rugs will absorb enough reverberation so it will still feel cozy and they can be drycleaned periodically. In the same vein, try to go with something like leather for the seating; something that can be wiped down.

Re: New Cigar Room.

HERE is a great thread about building a smoking room. It was not an attic but still full of good ideas you could probably use. The thread is full of suggestions from experienced members as well as pics of the progress.

Nice size room! I just finished my mine, it is going to be so nice this winter having a warm, dry place for cigars and foot ball.
