Anyone tried one of these? Got 3 Churchill's from the b&m for $10 I was told there made by Macanudo. I haven't had one yet just curious if anyone else had one.

Re: Helix

I haven't had one of these in a long time! When I first started getting into smoking 2 years ago I had a few of these. There are definately better cigars for the price. But these are still okay cigars. I think now a days I wouldn't be able to smoke 'em. I like full flavored strong cigars and the Helix is more of a mild-medium.

Re: Helix

Helix was one of my favorite cheaper cigars when I only smoked on occasion... Very smooth, good flavor, and the price was right

For some reason I thought they are owned/manufactured by Astral now, but unsure...

Re: Helix

They are made by General Cigar, which is a giant company that also makes (non-cuban) Bolivar, Cohiba, Don Tomas, El Credito, Excalibur, Hoyo de Monterrey, Macanudo, Partagas, Punch, Sancho Panza, Stradivarius, Temple Hall, and Havana Honeys.

When I first started smoking cigars, Helix was one of my favorite cigars. Mild, tasty, and not too expensive. I have a couple boxes of the 550 in my humidor right now (one each of the Conn. and Maduro).

If you like 'em mild, these are a good choice, and good bang for the buck.

Re: Helix

Smoked a bunch of these both maduro (which has a unique taste) and the natural which is very mild.. I smoked so many of them that I got sick of them and never bought or smoked another one. In my opinion there are lots of better cigars for the same price..

Jerry in Minnesota.
