Anybody ever heard of this???

I had a customer come in the shop this morning and buy 2 churchill size cigars and then he asked me to cut them in Half for him. I almost gave him is money back. I tried to dissuade him of doing it but he insisted. Has anybody heard of such a thing??

I did. I told him that the cigar would start to unwrap but he didn't care.

Re: Anybody ever heard of this???

only thing close to that ive ever seen is this guy who frequents a local shop will buy a churchill and chew on it... about every 15-20 minutes he'll cut off the part he was chewing and then chew the next inch or so until he's done... ive never seen him smoke

You can"t tell this anything! they are so set to their ways. Years ago during the boom there was this guy who would buy 2 casa blanca jeroboams and cut each cigar in 3. lol

Re: Anybody ever heard of this???

Never heard of someone doing that, it's pretty funny! The closest to that I've seen was someone cut their CAO LX2 cigar about 3/4" up from the cap..the wrapper started unraveling immediately

Re: Anybody ever heard of this???

Yep.

I had a customer who only bought bundles of National Brand Churchill. He's bought 2 bundles at a time. I did not have to cut them, but I saw him cut one in half and I asked him what he was doing. He said he got 100 cigars for the price of 50! LOL
