OK, here it is, based on quality of merchandise, selection, shipment and packaging, customer service, and general warm fuzzies about past experiences, which online cigar merchant is your FAVORITE to deal with? (Keeping in mind that I'm a newbie and this list was created from cigar vendors mostly stumbled upon while browsing, it does not specifically include auction sites, as I feel that's a different category, even though some of these vendors operate auctions.)

Done orders through most of those and nothing wrong with the rest but for all categories CI wins hands down. Great selection, super shipping/packing and great customer service. Not always the lowest on box prices but the cheaper shipping usually makes up the difference.

This is tough, but I will say famous based on the cigarmonster deals as of late. CI and JR have also been good for me. I haven't dealt with the others. Thompson I will never deal with based on horror stories that you can find here on puff. Cubancrafters.com has been another trusted retailer but they only sell their own "boutique" cigars.

Thats a tough choice. They are all close to each other in my book,,, CI, Holts, Famous all have decent prices, and great customer service. Hard to choose just one.

I have to agree that CI has many overall good qualities -- super fast shipping, good quality product/choice and great customer care.

That said, I just made my first order with JR (their decadent dozen deal sucked me in). Should receive my order soon. I'll see how it goes.

I voted for Cigar International, but Famous and JR are both right up there. You can't go wrong with any of the three.

took the words out of my mouth all tho i have had my share of Thompson horror stories and I would stay far away from them.

I use them all and lately these vendors are helping keep prices down with their "specials" on good cigars lately. I have saved more on my buying than when the taxes started on cigars. Between CBID, Cigarmonster, Famous and Atlantics deals I am kept busy with orders every week.

I voted Holt's but mainly because I love their sampler packs. I have had nothing but excellent experiences ordering from CigarInternational, Holt's, and TampaHumidor. AtlanticCigar used to be excellent but lately has sunk down on my list. I haven't ordered from them in a long time because the last two times they didn't have parts of my order in stock. That's not such a big deal but what really peeved me is the last order I placed I ordered the Master Blends III sampler and told them I'll wait for the back order. Many months later they never shipped it even though I contacted them several times. Each time I was told they are still waiting blah blah blah... but it's still listed on their site! Though I wasn't charged of course.

Peronsally I have been much more pleased with Cigar.com packaging than with other sites I have tried....but they managed to mess my order up 3 times and still never got it right finally I gave up. They kept trying but I must have been dealing with the wrong person. Sooo while I appreciate their packaging I'm a little gunshy about thier cust service.

Oh yeah and when I called to report something was missing they didnt believe me, reported it to UPS as a insurance claim and said the box was damaged....
