Shipping to Iraq

Alright so my wife wants to ship some cigars to me out here in Iraq but isn't sure the best way to package them for the journey. Any pointers to beat the dry heat while they travel?

She's probably going to send a box. I'll tell her about the humi packs... I'm new to the cigars so I didn't even know such a thing existed. Thanks for the good tip.

Jarhead
My wife would throw the singles in a baggie and toss a couple of the disposable humipaks inside a cigar box and send them that way and I never had a problem. That way you get the protection from mail being chucked off a pallet/kicked off a 7 ton as well as the humidity. Just an FYI if you contact JR cigars may be able to get them to send you a few smokes for free. I asked them to send us some for The Birrthday when I was out in TQ and they sent me more smokes than we could smoke, a difinate morale booster!! Hope that helps

Great to hear about JR.

I have you have been over to cigarbid, you can get a 10 pack of humicares for pretty cheap that way as she orders you smokes she can include them so they keep during the journey.

Big thing with humicare is you need to use distilled water, reason for mentioning this is it took me a while to find some in my local grocery store.

Best of luck, stay safe.

Re: Shipping to Iraq

Make sure she uses humidification... they can take awhile to get to you.. I know I just got back in May.. Also since the USPS likes to occaisionally play kickball with care packages make sure everything is well protected. The best thing to use is tupperware with a humicare pillow with LOTS of bubblewrap around it.. also make sure the cigars arent loose inside the tupperware and that they are snug so if they jostle around during the kickball match they dont get damaged
