Anyone only smoke when drinking???

For some reason it seems that every situation i find myself smoking a cigar in, i am drinking alcohol as well. In fact i cant think of a time in the past two months that ive smoked a cigar and havent drank. (Well except one or two at my local B&M).

Does anyone just love to smoke and drink together? Ive actualy found myself setting a rule to consume one alcoholic beverage before i even light up a smoke. I find that one drink will slow me down and relax me a little bit. Just put me in that good old mood to realy slow down and enjoy the smoke.

Anyone else have these same habits?

Usually I will have a drink with a cigar, but recently I've been enjoying weekend afternoon smokes with either an Arnold Palmer or a diet drink of some kind as part of my new "healthy lifestyle."

Drinking while smoking a cigar used to be my norm when I'd smoke once or twice a week, but this summer I have been smoking cigars almost every day and so I have cut back the drinking. I often pair a cigar with a water with lemon, especially when tasting a new cigar in order to help "refresh" the palate.

It's definitely a good combination. But i havent been drinking beer as much during the week. I prefer a Tecate with my stogies. Or if i'm going non alcoholic, i'll go with a starbucks doubleshot, or a Mexican coca-cola. Drinking a beer with a stogie does definitely help me relax.

Yeah, I will take my flask of Drambuie while smoking a cigar. I don't guzzle alcohol but rather use the whiskey as a pre curser to enhance the flavor of the cigar. There are other drinks I consume as well but nothing makes a cigar taste better to me that Drambuie.

I love beer, but lately ive been favoring a run and coke while smoking a cigar.

Ive also tried Bailleys on the rocks with a cigar which was pretty nice, but the cigar was only medium boddied and the baileys seemed to overpower it. I'm looking foward to trying some with a real full smoke.

It's not one of those things where I only smoke when I've been drinking (I typically don't drink in any quantity anyway), but I prefer to smoke when there's a good drink around to accompany it.

I'm a huge fan of pairing my cigars with a whiskey-coke, and when I smoke a higher-end cigar (which for me is anything over like $7), I've been thoroughly enjoying drinking Glenlivet 15yr neat with 'em.

The flavor and feeling of the scotch going down just exponentially increases the pleasure of the smoke for me.

For some reason i simply cant shoot the whiskey straight. I used to drink it like a fish when i was a kid, but now it just turns my stomach. Does smoking a cigar with whiskey seem to tame the taste of the whiskey? Maybe i have to give the two a try together.

I almost always am drinking Scotch while smoking.

I love Balvenie 15, Oban 14, Caol Ila 12, Glenfarclas (anything!)...

and my favorite... Glenrothes 85 or 91.

They enhance the smoking experience significantly for me. A good drink and smoke after a nice meal or just to chill and relax is the ultimate.

Cigars and whiskey are a perfect combo (1792 is my favorite), but If I can't have that Diet Coke is also delicious. Beer and a cigar does nothing for me, even though I love my beer.

That goes great with just about everything doesn't it big poppa! I have some buddies that go to Auburn that drink that stuff!
Anyways, I'm a weekend/holiday/special occasion smoker and almost always have a fine beer/s with my smoke. To me there is nothing that goes better with a cigar. I try to pair the flavor profile of the stick with the beer. A rich, dark, full-bodied smoke gets a stout (like left hand's milk stout), a mild-medium bodied smoke gets a lighter, more refreshing beer (like a hefeweisen), and so fourth.

I would say almost always I have some kind of portly brew; stout, porter, or dark Belgian within reaching distance while enjoying a cigar. There's only a few times among lighting up where cigars are accompanied only by the smoke in which they create.
