Re: What's your Cigar Budget?

For me it depends on the month. I work for 100% commission. Last 2 months have been very very good so I am making up for lost time!

I have never been very good with the budget thing. Besides I am a strong believer in denial. Why stress yourself out about how much money you blow? If you don't keep track of it you can force yourself to believe it isn't as much as it really is!

I have learned that life is much easier when you learn to deny and rationalize! LOL

Re: What's your Cigar Budget?

I am just getting my collection going. I have about 250 cigars at ~$800 in the past couple weeks. I think I am done buying for a while now though.

Re: What's your Cigar Budget?

I average a little under $3 a cigar, and smoke 25-30 a month. Sooo... around $75-$90 a month. But I buy in bunches, instead of constantly. I might spend $250 one week, and not buy again for three months.

More than it should be, and less than I want it to be.

I plead the fifth, no seriously, I do.

Although lately I have fallen on a bit of hard times so my budget has been reduced drastically.

Re: What's your Cigar Budget?

I buy intermittently during the winter months I smoke very little maybe at more 1 cigar every month but I put aside 50-100 bucks for any anejo or opus I come across. I usually spend the most at the end of summer stocking up for next summer. maybe with 200-300 during that period. this summer was closer to 300 since I got a second humi.

Re: What's your Cigar Budget?

I smoke 1 to 2 a week, and i don't have a humidor so I end up buying 2 every week. So I spend around $65 a month. Granted, I haven't been buying them for a long time.

Re: What's your Cigar Budget?

I go about 150/mo on average but it fluctuates.

If i'm contempt with my collection i might go as little as 25-50 a month but if there's new blends coming out or if I get an itch to buy I could go as much as 300.

Re: What's your Cigar Budget?

Howdy All:

I hope you are well.

I am still new into this and have not really thought about my budget. I know when I am in Europe on business I smoke a nice Cuban every night so that cost a bit of money. Back here I have been buying here and there from the various boards I have joined and occasionally from CI.

I think after a while a pattern will emerge, hopefully it is not to much or my wife will not be pleased.

Best regards, tony

Re: What's your Cigar Budget?

A great question, ... and a hard one to answer because of the Devil's Site.

Except for "amazing" deals i come across online or the WTS forums here, I've decided to primarily buy boxes only, and if I dont want the whole box to myself, split with someone. Despite the higher upfront cost, the cost/cigar simply makes more sense in the long run. I've committed myself to buying no more than 1 box every other month.

I think a $100 budget per month is pretty reasonable. With that, I find myself generally replacing what I smoke, and slightly adding to my collection.

Re: What's your Cigar Budget?

Thank god for cigars. If I didn't have cigars to spend my money on, I'd just end up blowing it on frivolities like, food, shelter, clothing...
