To stop her complaining about my cigar smoking, a few years ago, I got my wife into smoking cigars. Now she has progressed from flavored cigars into good ones. No I find my RASS getting low. LOL I can deal with that, but for some reason she wants to share the sticks I am smoking and share...

If I am smoking an Opus or God of Fire, she keeps taking them out of my hand and smoking it with me. It was alright at first, but lately, she hands it back hot boxed. I offer her one of her own, and she says no. Then she pulls mine out of my hand...

Oh well. Any of you have this problem?

When she gives it back to me, it hits hot smoke instead of a normal hit.

Yeah I hate that! tell her calmly and rationally why it bothers you. if that doesnt work I guess you could try flipping out on her, but you might be better off just letting it be.

YES! My gf is frequently down to smoke a stick with me, but she always insists she can not finish her own stick so instead puffs on mine!
I have been trying to tell her the stick will get too hot but she doesn't seem to get it.

BTW I have also had this problem with non cigar smokers who just want to "try a few puffs"

Somebody please find a solution!

Maybe she would like smaller cigars? Like a petite corona, or even the small pequenos?

I know my girlfriend is the same way, When I'd get her to smoke a cigar. She'd prefer the smaller ones because she knew she couldn't smoke the whole thing. I think the petite corona is around the size my gf would prefer.

Yes, this happens to me to, but different issue with the sharing. Usually it's when we get a new stick we've been wanting to try, and I just happen to choose to "try" my stick first. I understand him wanting a quick taste, but...
he wets the end sooooo much, I have to dry it off after...arghghg. Drives me nuts!

So, after much complaining, I finally quit sharing, unless he agreed to not lip it. He agreed. All is well in the house again.

Generally if either of us offer a quick taste, it's just for opinion, and it's quick. So, not much to complain about.

I'd just try to share your knowledge of cigars with her, and explain why hotboxing it decreases the enjoyment, maybe she will learn, or, like mentioned above, get her her own smaller cigars and stop sharing all together.
Cigars are too expensive these days, in tough times, to have them ruined.

I have the same problem. I must say it is a much better predicament to be in than to have a gf/wife who hates your hobby.

No. My wife doesn't smoke cigars and I don't share with dudes, so no.

I doubt if this is what's going on at Chateau de la Andy, but I have the size issue too. She wont smoke anything bigger than a small robusto and only the Oliva G at that. (I think the box press thing fools her) Anyway, I stock a small arsenal of petit corona just for that reason. Keeps her mind off mine. She will now take the occasional tester tug, but then she's good. Thankfully, she wants nothing to do with stout smokes once they get past the first third. Whew.

Letting her try a GoF is on you, brother. Bad, bad, really bad move.

No problem here she likes her own. If she wants one I just give it to her especially when she surprises me with a box of something I mentioned I wanted to get...Life is good...

Well, I have to give my wife her own stash. I buy, inspect, maintain, cut and light for her. I know....The things we do for our wives.
