Re: Flor de Oliva Robusto - Why'd I wait so long!

Let me clear a few things up for everyone.

The Flor De Oliva is our bundle line. They are all hand rolled, long filler bundles made in the Oliva Factory. There are four different wrappers, natural (Sumatra), Gold (Connecticut), Maduro (Connecticut Broadleaf), and Corojo. The natural line comes in many different sizes as well as Giants. The Maduro, Corojo, and Gold all come in the standard robusto, torpedo, churchill and toro.

As far as to why we make them? Well the FdO bundles are what started this company. They were around before the O's, G's, V's. Before even the Grand Cameroon's and the Oasis and Ovation's. The FdO's are what started the popularity of Oliva. FdO's are one of the top selling bundles in the entire industry.

Well I picked up a couple today for $2.19 each @ my B&M today, just cause I read this thread this morning.

I also picked up a JdN Antano (The BIG one!!!) & a Illusione CG4, that I smoked there.

Re: Flor de Oliva Robusto - Why'd I wait so long!

Last night I tried the FDO Natural. Very nice....that cap is very sweet and adds a nice dimension to the cigar. Up till yesterday all I had tried was the maduro which I always keep on hand as an everyday smoke.

Re: Flor de Oliva Robusto - Why'd I wait so long!

With all the great discussion about this stick, I had to take one from its resting place in my humi, even though it was only there for a couple of weeks.

Lit up my first, the natural robusto, last night and what a pleasant surprise. I can see what everyone means about the sweetness on the lips and it's a perfect balance to the earthiness of the cigar.

Only at the nub did this get a little dry and woody on me, but it was a great smoking experience -- especially for the price. Must get a bundle.
