Question Duque Cigars Experience

I am wondering whether anyone has had any experience with Duque Cigars that they could share.

They recently had a great deal on Olivia Series V cigars and I placed an order with them. That was around two weeks ago and USPS has still not received their package to begin shipping! Normally I would not question the company but after messaging them about my cigar shipment and calling, I have still received no response.

Are they a reputable dealer or do I need to contact my credit card company for a dispute? They have some great deals I only wish they would communicate what is going on over there.

I had the same experience with them, with the same cigar! Took 2 emails and a phone call but they eventually shipped them. Never received a specific response to my emails/calls, just eventually the automated shipping notice.

Its too bad, they have a nice looking site and decent prices, but their customer service leave a lot to be desired.

Ah ok then thanks. I'll go ahead and send them another email and try calling again during business hours. Hopefully I'll have my cigars sent out soon!

Wow I am really surprised. I got in on a box split on their Olivia Serie V special that Acesfull posted a while back. I ordered it and it came 4 days later all the way from FL to CA. Vinnie and I were so surprised that we got it so fast. I think the whole box split only took one week to complete. They kept me updated with emails and tracking information during the whole process. It sucks that you are having so much trouble with them, I hope you are able to get in contact with them and have this all figured out.

Re: Duque Cigars Experience

Got through to Duque Cigars today and talked to the owner's son. Really nice guy willing to help me out. He told me the owners are away to New Orleans for the cigar expo and told me he would look into it with the shipper and call me back.

I don't really mind waiting as I have plenty of other nice smokes so I'm just glad I got things hopefully figured out!

So it sounds like this is a drop shipping website to me then. In other words they do not stock the cigars but have a company that they buy from and ships them to the costumer when an order is placed. Sounds like the problems is with the other company, but it still falls on them and they should have responded back to your emails. Hope it all works out.

Re: Duque Cigars Experience

I ordered from them on July 1. Received no shipping information by the 10th, and no cigars, so I finally emailed them requesting status. Nothing. Another email 2 days later. Nothing again. Then a phone call to FLA that went directly to VM.

I thought maybe I'd gotten scammed, but a couple days after my phone message, I get a tracking number emailed to me, and shortly after that the cigars arrived, maybe around the 20th.

Never did have any actual contact with anyone at the company, even after I (politely I think) told them my disappointment with the lack of communication.

Here's a bunch of reviews that start off positive and go in the crapper around January 2009

Re: Duque Cigars Experience

Wow a lot of bad feedback and all for the same reason, take your credit card but never ship cigars are answer emails or phone calls! Damn I'm surprised a company could be so bad and still stay in business. People getting their cigars a month or longer after they ordered them.

Maybe they changed their drop shipper in Jan, prob is they don't have their money in the product so it really doesn't hurt them to lose orders. They want make as much money but they are not losing money because they don't have their money tied up in the cigars. I wouldn't use this company, at least not right now.

I was really hoping they were a good company becasue I haven't been able to buy a whole box of any "premium" cigars (due to lack of funds) but I found a good deal they had on one of my favorites, Camacho Connecticut. They had the cheapest prices I had seen on them but I guess I will have to just wait until I find a good price on them somewhere else.

Thanks for the info!

Re: Duque Cigars Experience

I don't know, if you use a credit card (for protection in case they never send) and don't mind waiting for the box, maybe you should go for it. Ultimately, I got my Oliva V's much cheaper than anywhere else, so it was worth the wait for me.

I probably would not go back except for a screaming deal though.

Re: Duque Cigars Experience

Just as an update I called on 08/11 and was told that I would receive a call back from the company concerning the order I had placed. As of today still no call and checking their site, still no progress on my box order.

I would hold off on ordering from this company until they get their business in order.

Re: Duque Cigars Experience

Just to finish this up. Duque Cigars called me this morning and said my box shipped out this morning. So in the end they did make good on their order, just took a bit of time.
