Anyone had problems with a cbid order?

I won an auction about a week ago for a 5 pack of Oliva O Perfecto's 5x55 according to the site. They ship me 5 Oliva O Petite Perfecto's at 4X49! Now, normally I role with the flow, but this is the most minuature cigar I hav ever seen!!! I'm a big guage man, so when I opened the box, I kind of thought, "oh look at that cute little cigar"; then I realized..."that's not what I paid for!!"

Anyways, I was just wondering if anyone else had had to deal with their customer service before to return something. I contacted them and they were very responsive at first, told me they were going to ship the correct item out and an RMA to return the other cigars they sent me. I was like, great....now I get an email today and they said: "I spoke with my warehouse manager and he says that you did receive the correct cigars, do you still want to return them?" Sorry for the rant here guys....but I hate being made to look like an idiot. I know what size of cigar I'm physically looking at and it's not 5x55!!!!!!!. Sorry for the rant.

Yes, their CS is excellent.

A few weeks ago, I won an Xikar Xi3 cutter, they shipped the wrong color. Within 72 hours I had the correct one in hand and the old one was shipped sent back to them, no cost to me.

I always understand mistakes in life happen; I appreciate when a company corrects that mistake in a speedy and painless manner, it makes me a customer for life.

Just call them back again and insist that either:

  1. They sent the wrong cigars
  2. The ad had the wrong size listed

Also, measure the cigar. 4" vs 5" should be easy to prove.

I have been communicating with this cs rep via email. I sent her pics, they are sending me RMA info...but I don't want a refund, I just want the right cigars. I mean these cigars they sent are like mini me sized cigars. I would probably smoke one down in three draws. Oh well I'll try to win something else. Check this out:

Oliva O Perfecto (Which is what the auction was for) 5x55

4 x 49 Petit Perfecto is what they sent

These pics are from Oliva's site.

I checked out their site too. The funny thing about those two pics are that it is the exact same picture, but rescaled. The web designer must have been in a hurry.

Re: Anyone had problems with a cbid order?

The only problem I had was not reading the description. The picture was of two boxes of RyJ Habana Reserve Corona's. So I bid what I would pay for them. However after the description, at the bottom it listed them as 4 1/2x23

Ended up paying more for the little 8 packs of cigerollas (sp) than if I had ordered them through the CI site all because I did not read the fine print and trusted the picture they posted of them.

Re: Anyone had problems with a cbid order?

I bid a lot on C BID and once in awhile I get an order that is messed up but I call or email them and they are quick to fix it.

Re: Anyone had problems with a cbid order?

They recently sent me a couple slightly damaged GOF's, but were quick to send me replacements & take back the bad ones. I'm VERY pleased with their CS.

Hopefully you'll be able to get this figured out soon, good luck!

Re: Anyone had problems with a cbid order?

I have a 5er of some sticks thats "On Backorder"...... That was almost 2 months ago. When I got the box and invoice with them showing on backorder I emailed them and they appologized and told me since they weren't sent, I wasn't charged. That when they came back in stock, I would be charged for them and sent out.... Like I said, that was almost two months ago and no sticks..... They may have been discontinued. But I was happy with the CS they gave.

I don't expect any company to be perfect. What they do when things go wrong is the real tale of the tape. If they bend over backward to make it right, that is all I can ask. If they try to make excuses and get out of doing the right thing, not only will I never do business with them again, but I will make sure that all of my friends hear about how they do business.
