Just so you know, I haven't necessarily smoked any of these, I just built the list from searching posts. I plan to start working my way down the list, but I only built it a few days ago.

Dan, I would agree that the list you compiled is made up of mild/medium smokes. While I do not like them all I have at one time or another tried about all of them. I think you are on the right track.

Re: Mild to Medium

One that I like is Flor de Murias natural. It's a nice Connecticut shade wrapped cigar, smooth, with some toasty, nutty flavor. AND... I just got the new JR catalogue and it's on sale. The Epicure is 34.95 a box. Great packaging too.

There's a zillion of different brands from expensive like Davidoff and Cohiba Red Dot to the cheaper like Helix or some of the Famous bundles, Don Diego, Temple Hall, Perdomo 826.

Got in on a good deal @ JR, one day special at the time.
I`ll still buy these when I can find them +/- 50/box.

Cheers!

Hello everyone. I'm Mike, and a new cigar smoker. I tried a Gispert the other day, and it was good. Still trying different cigars to see what I like best.

Re: Mild to Medium

I had a Victor Sinclair Primeros the other day and was impressed, I think it will take over the spot of the 5 vegas gold as my go to budget Connecticut shade gar.

Victor Sinclair Primeros - Cigars International

I've been smoking cigars for about 2-3 months now but I'm still trying to grasp the mild to heavy rating system..

Is it just the amount of flavor you get?
The belling feeling of a maduro on a empty stomach = strong?

Anyway, smoke in good health

Re: Mild to Medium

As many have already noted, Arturo Fuentes are excellent sticks! I almost feel like I spoiled myself as the 8-5-8's, Don Carlos', and Hemingways were my first smokes that I can remember having when I first started. I also enjoyed a Macanudo or Cohiba that came in a tube. Not sure if the Cohibas were mild, but they sure were tasty! Fuente is my go-to when I feel overwhelmed at the 'candy shop' lol. I'm sure you'll be pleased with an 8-5-8!
