Talking Some New Friends!

Hey guys! So... The story goes like this: Bout 3 weeks ago I found the thread listing the free El Baton coupon link (ElBaton.com), got myself and a friend each a coupon. Turns out the friend I usually have help me thin the ranks of my humi is away in Europe for a few weeks and the coupons are only good till the end of the month. So, another friend of mine called me last night to his workplace for a cup of coffee and some pastry. Hadn't seen each other in a while, and somehow cigars came up. Today we made it our mission to go find a retailer of El Baton cigars. After about 20 calls to local B&M's on this side of the bridge and a few on the other, I found Harry's Smoke Shop on 15 N. 3r'd St. in Philadelphia. Called him up, found out that not only did he carry this elusive newer smoke, but he also honored our beloved coupons. I won't bore you guys with any more of this, but I'll leave you with a picture.

Ok, maybe I'll ramble on a little more. The shopkeeps were outstanding gentlemen, the elder of which seemed pretty amused that a younger guy like me is so into cigars, and thanks to you guys I was able to enjoy a great conversation with him about brands and this and that. Anyway, I just want to say that I really liked the shop, their selection was right up my ally, and I came home with 1 free stick and 2 gratuity buys that I absolutely can't wait to fire up. I also recommended my buddy an 8-5-8, the cigar that started my Fuente Fetish. Alas, it will probably be some time until I can justify the celebration of these two sticks.

Oh and the El Baton is also a really great stick. I recommend you guys try one if you can find it!

Cool story.

And thanks for the reminder about the coupon, I found a place by me that is supposed to have them. I think I will swing by this weekend.

Best regards, tony

Re: Some New Friends!

It would seem the El Baton cigar disappeared and left behind its band!

How far from Philly do you live? Sounds like a trip. haha.
