people with an oasis XL

Ive been searching around and cant find any information any place. For you guys with an oasis XL how often does it kick on? Ive got a 75-100 ct humi with only abour 20 cigars in it and its kicking on every 7-10 minutes. I really cant find any info if this is normal or not so im turning to you guys

I have oasis xl plus ut I went to beads when my girlfriend bought me an end table humidor. Oasis just wasn't working properly..VERY HAPPY with the beads from Heartwell. Steady at 70 percent.

Goin by memory as I have not used my XL for a year or so but as I remember it would briefly kick on once every 3 mons or so but only for like 10 sec. I always though that was fairly often but it seemed to be more of a fan thing then a RH thing.

It was in a well sealed cooler and the RH on my hygros never moved just seemed to get bored so it kicked itself on to blow some air around

I've got a 100 count humi also which is pretty well full. My Oasis kicks on every time I open the lid, but as far as when the lid is closed , it's too quiet to hear. Does your rh remain pretty consistant? How long have you had the Oasis?

ive only had it for around a week along with the new humidor and only have 20 cigars in a 75-100ct humidor. I ordered a caliber III just to make sure the oasis is correct. As per the gauge on the oasis it stays fairly consistent, when it turns on it will only jump up 2-3 % and then settle down to what i have it set on.

Since your humdor is so new, it most likely needs to be seasoned. As the wood absorbs the moisture inside, the oasis kicks on to keep the rh up. Give it another week or so and it should be ok. The oasis won't have to run as often once the wood is properly seasoned. I've had my oasis for about a month and I love it.

I think your right i just got home from work and my humidor has been holding sold as a rock at 67.5-67.9 and the humidifier hasn't kicked on once for almost 35 minutes now
