art of the cigar?

Hello to all:
Going over catalogues and on line, I see a reference a lot in various cigars to a size of the art of the cigar. Is this just a general size like a churchill or a corona, or is there some special signifigance to this designation?

Much regards Jerry

Re: art of the cigar?

I really find the whole cigar naming stuff very confusing. You see stuff like, Petit Corona, Corona Extra, Double Corona etc... then you see #1, #2 #3, #4, #5,#6, #7 then you see; elegante, monumentous, gol, champion, grande, battalion and it doesn't make sense

What is the difference between a robusto extran and a toro? Or a toro extra and a Double Corona? Or a ROthchilde and a Small Rubosto?

Re: art of the cigar?

I believe it's a packaging deal with 8 cigars different brands. Atleast that's what I gathered...

Re: art of the cigar?

If they were sold in a pack with different cigar sizes the catalog may have put the "name" of the package which is most likely the art of the cigar instead of putting in various for the size. Other than that I have not heard of that for a specific size.

Re: art of the cigar?

The only one I'm aware of is the JR 8-pack churchills of different brands. I figured it was one of their marketing gags. Does anyone else carry them?
