Well so far 3 of 5 have been received. Absolutely take your time, and put them down for a few weeks if need be.
I have never sent a cigar to anyone before(except for whole boxes), or used one of those jr humidity cards.
You soak them for a minute in d.w. and they are suppossedly good for 3-5 days.
Perhaps there were too few smokes in the package, and got a bit over rh,d, or perhaps I should have just barely soaked them. Or left the ziplock open a bit to breathe?
Oh well, at least we know they function. Jr sells a pack of 10 for about 7 bucks I think, but they basically throw them in for free(addtl shipping charge)with certain orders and I have a whole bunch of them.

Enjoy Much regards Jerry

Received mine as well this afternoon. They arrived in good shape and that card worked a bit too well but no damage to the cigar since they were in cello,,,I will let them acclimate for a good week and send you my evaluation of these sticks. Thanks again for sending these out.

Re: addendum: taste this cigar for me.

Review of my first Cigar from Jerry:

BRAND - Unknown

SIZE - Torpedo

TYPE CUTTER - Boston V Cutter

LIGHTER -Ronson

BEVERAGE - Drambuie

APPEARANCE - Nice, toothy slight vein running thru this

CONSTRUCTION - No flaws,,,very good

FEEL - Just a slight give to it,,,not too tight

TASTE - LIGHT UP - Pepper,,,lots of pepper

DRAW - Excellent

EVEN BURN - Had to correct it about 3 times but only because it was a bit “wet”

TASTE 1ST THIRD - Started with pepper and lots of “Red Man” flavor chewing tobacco
Let me elaborate,,,,this taste of the tobacco is something I really enjoyed about it because you could smell the flavor and it reminded me of my chewing tobacco days of Red Man.

2ND THIRD - The pepper stays but not as powerful as the first third. The “flavor” is still the Red Man taste and it’s still enjoyable.

LAST THIRD - Pepper and some calming effect of spice in this last part but the straightforward taste is still there.

OVERALL CHARACTER : I’d have to say medium to full.

RATING 1- 20 17 STRENGTH 1- 10 8

COMMENTS - I was very surprised with this stick. Taking it out of the wrapper you get hit with an unmistakable scent of what smells like “Red Man” chewing tobacco. It’s not the infused type like say a Drew Estate or Acid Cigar. Cigars that are aged in oak barrels or have cognac mixed in with them is how I would describe this cigar. I have often wondered if there was a cigar out there that would have the characteristics of a real good chewing tobacco in cigar form,,,Halleluiah,,,somebody found a way to do it. It almost retained that “moistness” quality that is in chewing tobacco where you get that satisfied taste of the leaf without it over powering you when it is smoked.

QUALITY - ISSUES - I should have put this one in a lower RH 63% and am doing this to the other cigar.
POSITIVES- I gotta say that I really enjoyed this cigar. I started out with chewing tobacco when I was young and loved the flavor of several notorious brands. Somehow this tobacco picks up where I left off and if you love chewing tobacco you’re going to love this cigar. The pepper is always there so this cigar is not for the feint of heart,,,it’s going to slap you around. I drank about 5 fingers of Drambuie with this smoke so I was a bit “buzzed” by the time I nubbed it.
I will wait another few weeks to try the second cigar but I sure liked this cigar. Thanks to Jerry for sending this out.

Re: addendum: taste this cigar for me.

Hi Gary. thanks for the review. Its strange that you say it was flavored. As far as I know, it is non infused. All the cigars I sent out, were puros of dominican origin. They say they only use dominican tobacco grown on their plantation .
I was surprised to hear of what you say. I always knew there was a peculair taste to these cigars, but didnt think they were infused or anything.
I spoke with the roller who rolled them(as best I could. He had no english skills whatsoever, and didnt understand my spanish skills. LOL
He did say, he rolled them, and all his cigars are from the heart.
Next time there, I will copy a phrase down in spanish to ask them about the cigar, to see if perhaps the cigar was infused. The signs are in english in their small wall in humidor, and only one type said something about brandy or rum, but these werent any of them.
I know they use maduro on some of their sticks.
Looking forward to your followup.

Much regards Jerry

Never could conjugate verbs right!
